    Electrical Engineer/Technologist

    KEY  RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Development and management of electrical project specific documentation such as enquiries, tenders and contracts;
    • Ensuring technical requirements defined in the contract are properly incorporated into the engineering deliverables;
    • Overseeing and supervising the installation of industrial power systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures;
    • Design of LV and MV industrial power systems;
    • Designing site-specific equipment as required;
    • Ensuring that the design and maintenance of industrial power systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements;
    • Managing and forecasting spend, using whole life cycle costing techniques, ensuring that work is kept to budget;
    • Monitoring the execution of the electrical aspects of the quality assurance program for conformance to project requirements;
    • Assisting with and managing commissioning coordination, commissioning activities and start up;
    • Developing maintaining and enhancing engineering tools, calculations or software used during the engineering activities of the company;
    • Participation in engineering activities and interdisciplinary interfaces in close cooperation with the other discipline engineers.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

    • Have a B.Sc. / B. Eng. (Electrical, heavy current) / B Tech (Electrical, heavy current);
    • Be registerable as a professional Engineer / professional Engineering Technologist with ECSA (professional registration with ECSA will be an advantage)
    • Be a member of the South African Institute of Electrical Engineers (preferable);
    • Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the heavy industrial environment (generation, PFC, substations, power systems, MCC’s / LV assemblies etc.) within a consultancy, engineering services company, or in an operating company with project engineering or technical support duties;
    • Have effective computer skills using Microsoft Office software & specialist engineering simulation software such as PowaMaster, DigSilient Power Factory, CAD, Relux or others such as Revit etc;
    • Have excellent report writing skills;
    • Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Have effective interpersonal skills for interface with the client and working in a project team;
    • Be able to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team;
    • Be prepared to travel within and outside RSA borders, in some cases for a few weeks;
    • Be fit to travel outside RSA borders and fit to pass medical assessments to enter industrial plants;
    • Have a valid driver’s license and his / her own vehicle.

    Mechanical Engineer – Building Services

    KEY  RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Provision of technical and management expertise and involvement throughout the project lifecycle, from inception, through feasibility into construction and commissioning;
    • Management and maintenance of Client relationships and co-ordination of project execution within scope, timeframe, safety, cost and to the Client’s satisfaction;
    • Effective management of sub-contractors as well as site staff;
    • Participation in engineering activities and interdisciplinary interfaces in close cooperation with the other discipline Engineers;
    • Ensuring that all work is undertaken in accordance with the Quality Management System.

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

    • Have a BTech / BEng degree in Mechanical Engineering;
    • Have a minimum of six to ten years project management experience and sound knowledge of the industrial / building services industry, ;
    • Have experience in defining and understanding specific project scope and deliverables, and manage the submission of competitive proposals;
    • Be registered as a Professional Engineer/ Technologist with ECSA;
    • Possess a detailed understanding of engineering activities and project engineering workflows required for consulting, engineering services, and EPCM contracts;
    • Possess a broad understanding of the other design engineering disciplines, i.e. Structural/Elect
    • Be self-motivated, disciplined, ethical and confident;
    • Have experience in utilizing AutoCAD (3D preferable);
    • Have strong interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills;
    • Be prepared to travel within and outside RSA borders;
    • Have a valid driver’s license

    Senior Roads Engineer

    KEY  RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Managing entire projects and project teams from inception to completion, including client interface;
    • Performing engineering functions efficiently in support of own projects and provide technical support to other projects.
    • Performing a contract administration role on major roads projects;
    • Mentoring and motivating project teams;
    • Developing and maintaining strong client relationships;
    • Taking responsibility for work acquisition and tendering for roads projects;
    • Ensuring compliance with Bosch Projects ISO 9001/2008 QMS System;
    • Ensuring that client standards are achieved and maintained

    THE IDEAL CANDIDATE SHOULD:

    • Have a BSc Civil Engineering / BEng Civil Engineering Civil Engineering qualification;
    • Be registered as a Professional Engineer with ECSA (compulsory)
    • Hof which a minimum of 5 years must have been spent on roads projects;
    • Have experience in managing projects for major national, provincial and municipal roads clients in the Western Cape
    • Have technical and design competence in either road rehabilitation, surfacing design or geometrics;
    • Have experience in administering roads contracts as the Contract Engineer, and management of construction monitoring teams;
    • Have experience in construction monitoring of roads contracts as the “Engineer’s Representative”, and management of site teams and site laboratories;
    • Be able to assume design leadership role in new roads, road rehabilitation and / or road maintenance projects;
    • Be capable of functioning independently and as part of a project team;
    • Have the ability to grow client relationships and acquire roads related workload;
    • Have a valid passport and be prepared to travel and work within and outside RSA borders;
    • Have a valid driver’s license.

    Bosch Management Services – Junior regional office accountant

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Completion of journals – standard monthly journals, reallocations, accruals requested by the Accounts Payable team and intercompany interest;
    • Follow up, process corrections to agency and profit center recharged cost accounts;
    • Comparison of standard accruals, verses creditors captured, and then raising of any necessary accruals;
    • Checking for any missing cashbook entries and completing the capture thereof;
    • Cashbook matching including performing the bank and petty cash reconciliations;
    • Compilation of Credit Note and Pro-forma invoice schedules;
    • Fixed Asset Accounting – annual verification, tagging, recording of additions and disposals;
    • Monthly General Ledger Reconciliations to support the integrity of the accounts;
    • Maintain the Suspense Account to zero each month;
    • Balancing of Debtors and Creditors sub-ledger to Trial Balance;
    • Preparing the monthly staff loans and deduction schedule for Payroll;
    • Maintaining a detailed audit trail for all Training costs;
    • Capture of monthly forecasts for Project Managers, when required;
    • Generation of cost reports, invoices and customer statements for Project Managers, when required;
    • Follow up on monthly invoicing with Project Managers;
    • Assist in extracting and preparing reports for the monthly management pack and internal meetings;
    • Allocation of credit card statements and journals;
    • Support to the Regional Accountant;
    • Compliance with Bosch Central Finance Team controls and reporting requirements;
    • Liaison with local audit team and/or submission to Central Team auditors;
    • Any other finance related function, as and when required.

    Bosch Munitech Divisional Manager: Underground Utility Services

    Key performance areas: 

    1. Leading and managing
    • Lead and manage a team.
    • Manage company assets and fleet.
    • Provide progress updates to the Divisional Head on a regular basis.

    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Utilities Detection and / or Underground Location Services and/or similar environments
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in leading and managing teams

    Knowledge and technical skills:

    • Project Management and Contract Administration
    • Computer skills using Microsoft Office software
    • Utility related software and equipment
    • Knowledge of the latest utility survey technology
