    Trainee: Human Resources Business Partner

    About the Job

    Payroll and HRIS System

    • Generate new employee numbers.
    • Load employees on SAGE and print-out relevant reports.
    • Populate new employee’ information on SAGE Payroll module.
    • Capture and reconcile monthly Travel and Subsistence claims.

    Training and Development

    • Assist employees and line management in the planning and implementation of training and development interventions.
    • Assist the Skills and Training department with WSP and ATR submissions.

    Human Resources Administration

    • Perform the day-to-day Human Resources administration of SACAA policies and procedures.
    • Attend to queries and follow up with the line managers and employees in line with the time frames as outlined in the HR SLA.
    • Assist in the planning and implementation of HR events.

    Performance Management

    • Provide line management with advice and support pertaining to the performance management process and ESS system.
    • Facilitate and coordinate any appeals regarding performance evaluation lodged by staff with guidance from the ER department.
    • Train, monitor and implement effective performance management process and systems for SACAA employees.

    Recruitment and Selection

    • Provide line managers with advice and support pertaining to the acquisition of staff within the boundaries of the relevant policies, practices and procedures.
    • Assist with the compilation of a shortlist of potential candidates in collaboration with the line manager.
    • Conduct selection interviews and complete the necessary administration.
    • Prepare the required reports for approval and job offers for prospective employees.
    • Conduct induction for every new employee in line with the Induction policy and procedure.

    Industrial Relations

    • Provide support to employees and managers regarding the implementation of Industrial Relations practices and procedures.
    • Participate in engagement forums between line management and the Labour Union.
    • Assist in facilitating disciplinary hearings and recording of lodged grievances.
    • Liaise with ER on disciplinary and grievance matters.

    Organizational Development

    • Perform organisational development studies when required and make recommendations to ensure effective service delivery.
    • Implement job evaluation process with the assistance from the OD department.
    • Support the OD department with the implementation of all OD initiatives and processes.
    • Assist in implementing HR and employee engagement surveys.

    Minimum Requirements

    • National Diploma in Human Resource Management / NQF level 6 or related equivalent

    Ideal Minimum Requirements

    • Degree in Human Sciences or related equivalent / NQF level 7 or related equivalent

    Ideal Experience

    • Minimum 2 years' experience in human resources environment

    About the Job

    • Assist in determining the operational level of safety that prospective and approval holders are capable of achieving and achieve in actual operations. Through evaluation (assess), monitor (conduct periodic and unannounced surveillance) of compliance to operations of an aircraft/ Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS):
    • Making recommendations regarding the issuance or amendment of the AOC /ROC and the associated operations specifications, and the operator's competence to continue to exercise the privileges of the certificate;
    • Making recommendations concerning any special conditions that, considering the investigation, may need to be imposed; informing the operator of any deficiencies needing rectification; and
    • Making recommendations concerning appropriate enforcement action.
    • Assesses and make recommendations on the compliance potential and ability of an aircraft or Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) for certification and licensing purposes.
