    Internal Auditor

    Job Purpose

    The successful candidate will be responsible for completing audits for Discovery (Discovery Health, Vitatlity RSA and Vitality Group) and providing feedback on the outcome. The successful candidate must have a drive, sense of urgency and work flexibility

    Key Performance Area

    • Awareness of the IIA International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Code of Ethics and Standards
    • Perform audit in line with Audit Methodology and Audit Software requirements
    • Assist Senior Internal Auditor in preparation of engagement letter
    • Document systems description for the scope areas identified within the engagement letter
    • Obtain approval from business for documented system descriptions
    • To review the system established to ensure compliance with those policies, plans, procedures, laws, regulations and contracts which could have a significant impact on operations and reports
    • Completion of the Audit Checklists and overall maintenance of the Pentana Audit File (in line with Audit Methodology).

    Data Science Analyst (Credit Risk)

    Job Purpose

    The Credit Acquisitions Management team is responsible for the development and implementation of credit granting strategies, tracking and optimizing these strategies and to make sure that they are relevant and effective. This requires expert analytics and the creation of optimal data assets to support monitoring, measurement and predictive model development to optimize key outcomes from a credit and client onboarding perspective.

    Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to

    MI and reporting

    Key Purpose

    The Marketing Consultant partners with business and the Senior Marketing manager to formulate the marketing and brand strategy.     Actuary (Data Scientist)

    Key Purpose

    The Individual Life Analytics team is responsible for strategic and impactful projects for the business. The focus of this role will be to support development and implementation of data science projects in the Advanced Analytics (Data Science) function of the team. The role involves exposure to a wide range of business areas such as underwriting, claims, legal and other operations, as well as the wider Discovery Group.

    Data Scientist

    Key Purpose

    • To analyse large amounts of data to provide core business value and key insights and enhance data-driven business processes and decisions.

    Head of Analytics

    What you will do?

    The role will be responsible to oversee a range of analytical teams from data analytics, data science, and clinical in South Africa and co-ordinate with technical heads who will be based in Singapore. The objective of the role is to ensure timeous, robust and accurate delivery of analytical products and frameworks. Effective communication between key stakeholders is vital to ensure delivery.

    The role is based in South Africa.

    Core responsibilities include:

    • Guide and lead a multi-disciplinary South African team to deliver on the vision of all analytical products
