Description

Front-End Development:

• Build well-rounded, semantically correct front-end user interfaces and features using Astro, React, and MarkoJS.
• Write clean, maintainable, and easy-to-understand code.

Quality Assurance:

• Write unit, integration, or end-to-end tests to minimize bugs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs to maintain high-quality code and application performance.

Tools and Pipeline Management:

• Set up and maintain tools using Webpack, Gulp, Vite, Docker, GitHub Actions & Runners.
• Assist with setup and debugging of CI/CD pipelines.

Legacy System Support:

• Maintain a legacy front-end application (MarkoJS) during its deprecation phase.

Collaboration and Mentorship:

• Contribute to a culture of best practices and collaborate to maintain the technical quality and simplicity of our software.
• Assist Junior and Intermediate developers.

Documentation:

• Write and maintain documentation.

Agile Teamwork:

• Work as part of an agile team to groom, prepare, and plan sprint work.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
• At least 5 years of experience in front-end (web) software development.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in breaking complex solutions into smaller, reusable modules.
• Ability to create high quality front-end user interfaces and experiences.
• Well versed in web performance optimisation.
• Well versed in Test-Driven Development (TDD)
• Competent with reactive web frameworks like React and Astro.
• Competent with NodeJS.
• Competent with version control and Git.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Ad Moderation:

• Perform ad moderation duties to ensure user safety on the platform.
• Assist with paid client vetting, onboarding, and other ad hoc requests.

Risk Management:

• Handle community risk escalations such as predators, suicide, and threats.
• Ensure compliance and reflect the voice of the business through communication.

Team Collaboration:

• Participate in team meetings.
• Provide feedback to supervisors and the business team.
• Review quality assurance feedback provided by supervisors and team leads.

Requirements

• Relevant education or certification in marketing or a related field.
• Experience with Zendesk or ad moderation is beneficial.
