    Billing Team Leader - Woodmead

    Job Description

    • The billing team lead will be a member of the finance team to lead the invoicing function according to the standard policies and best practices, ensuring SGS customer and contract requirements are adhered to at all times.

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Facilitating the billing departments daily activities.
    • Compiles, computes and records billing, statistical data, and other numerical data for billing purposes.
    • Ensure all sales orders are opened in a timely manner.
    • Ensure team complies with the Internal Control System throughout the billing process.
    • Assist, coordinate and cooperate with business to ensure the quality and timing of invoicing.
    • Operate 3rd Party customer web portals.
    • Receive, analyze and issue credit note request in line with the approval process.
    • Ensure daily follow up procedures are in place for processing invoices and credit notes.
    • Report on open and invoiced sales orders daily.
    • Perform daily and adhoc duties as outlined by the billing manager.
    • Assist in month end closing and internal/ external audit requirements, providing all required documentation.
    • Make continuous improvement and innovation through investigation and recommendations to manager.
    • Update client templates and pricelists for manager review and approval. 
    • First escalation for billing team disputes and queries.
    • Support billing manager with team performance monitoring and reporting. 

    Qualifications

    • Diploma or Degree
    • Experience in Finance/Accounting
    • Experience in billing in multiple entities and currencies
    • Experience in billing in multiple business units with multiple profit centres and pricelists
    • Experience in large volume processing
    • Knowledge of in-country and international invoicing requirements

    OI Coordinator - Randfontein

    Job Description

    • Support and maintenance of OI management systems according to established policies and procedures. 

    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 

    • Coordinating quality meetings and taking, distribution and recordkeeping of minutes. 
    • Reporting of incidents, near misses, hazards and site KPIs using Crystal. 
    • Implement and facilitate Global OI Initiatives at their site (Safe Start, Stellar, Safety Month, Quarterly Campaigns, Safe Talks, SGS Rules for Life, Stop Work Authority, BBS etc., corrective action implementation from Incidents/Best Practices) 
    • Ensure applicable OI training is defined scheduled and conducted, including annual integrity training. 
    • Ensure site implementation of OIMS and local health, safety and environmental regulatory requirements (including compliance to ths POPIA) and schedule and coordinate required inspections. 
    • Perform OI inspections using checklists 
    • Facilitate Risk Assessments at site level using global or local tool 
    • Report observations to the location Manager and Country/Sub-Regional OI Manager 
    • Other reasonable tasks can be assigned to the job holder to support the overall OI Strategy 
    • Assist in control and maintenance of system documents 
    • Assist in investigating and clearance of internal audit findings 
    • Assist in the coordination, investigation and processing of nonconforming and improvement request issues and implementing corrective and preventive actions 
    • Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system 
    • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager 

    Qualifications

    • Minimum academic qualification is a grade 12 certificate. 
    • Minimum 2 years operations experience.

    Job Description

    • To perform all general analysis. 
    • To ensure that all analysis is conducted timeously. 
    • Under the guidance of the Laboratory Manager, to assist in the work required for modification and development of new methods for general analysis. 
    • To ensure that enough stocks of all items for the optimal functioning of the laboratory are always available. 
    • To report any infringements or non-compliance by any other laboratory staff member with respect to work allocated, punctuality, or any other misdemeanor to the Laboratory Manager. 
    • To perform calibration and verification of all instruments.  
    • Perform the maintenance of all instruments as per schedule and keeping the maintenance files up to date. 
    • Complies and conforms to Laboratory Quality Management System (ISO17025) 
    • Must know how to prepare and verify calibration standards and quality control standards. 
    • Must be able to troubleshoot. 
    • To validate data and be able to interpret results. 
    • Ensure compliance with SGS Health and Safety Act 
    • Adhere to SGS general safety rules and rules of contact

    Qualifications

    • National Diploma: Analytical Chemistry 
    • Matriculation, with Mathematics and Science

    Senior Chemist - Randfontein

    Job Description

    • Must be able to record, evaluate and validate all instrumentation.
    • Responsible for all daily document requirements and the distribution to the different departments. 
    • Responsible for the monthly time sheet accounting. 
    • Routinely provide training to Chemists & Technicians 
    • Completes tasks within the allocated time and plans work for operators to ensure that overall service goals of the laboratory are met. 
    • Responsibility to performs routine and non-routine Analytical operation on instrumentation if and as required. 
    • Responsible for the supervision of all instrumentation analysis and reporting of results. 
    • Responsibility to ensure turnaround time is adhered to at all times, for work specified in regard to instrumentation analysis.

    • Be actively involved in the day to day running of the instrumentation department 
    • Help with instrument problem solving whenever required 
    • Interact with Service Engineers whenever they are servicing the instruments so that instrumentation is always fully aware of what they are doing 
    • Work cooperatively with all instrumentation staff to ensure that all are committed to the goal and objectives of the Department and turnaround times are met. 
    • Adhere to all quality and safety requirements of the SGS management system. 
    • Responsibility to adhere to all quality, health and safety rules and regulations. 
    • Responsibility to ensure housekeeping for general instrumentation area is kept up to standard. 
    • Responsibility to identify areas where new system documentation is required, amendments need to be made or where existing documentation requires review. 
    • Responsibility to ensure that all documents, forms and records are of the appropriate version. 
    • Responsibility to ensure correct consumables and chemicals are received and used for instrumentation analysis. 
    • Perform any other reasonable tasks as assigned by direct line manager. 

    Qualifications

    • BSc Chemistry on National Diploma Analytical Chemistry 
    • Operational experience in a SANAS 17025 accredited facility 
    • LIMS administration and operation  
    • Experience in instrumentation, data collection and reporting  
    • At least 8 years’ experience
