    Job Description:

    • As part of this role, you will be responsible for executing Accounts Payable activities in a manner that ensures excellent customer service delivery within the timelines stipulated in the service level agreement.

    Your duties will include:

    • OCR/indexing documents accurately and timeously

    CAD/GIS DraughtsPerson

    Job Description:
    The focus areas for this role will be to manage and co-ordinate the following:

    • Provide draughting services on Microstation through capturing geological data as well as collecting and analysing computerised data banks of spatial data, remote sensors, satellites and other sources. 
    • Update farm boundaries as well as complete geological maps and create plans for geological reports (design and add colour, symbols and scales). 
    • Prepare prospecting rights application plans using desktop publishing and specialist image manipulation software as well as edit, update and revise plans, maps and other drawings. 
    • Ensure the availability of all relevant information for each project area as well as verify and correct existing cadastral to be SG compliant, collaborating closely with Surveyors and Mine Planner. 
    • Use geographical information systems to model and analyse landscape features as well as check maps are accurate and to scale. 
    • Perform Windeed farm searches and SG diagram requests as well as extract information from geological database. 
    • Covert date from Cape Datum to Hartebeeshoek Datum as well as create visual aids and presentations.
    • This role is in the Mining and Survey department at a C2 level reporting to the Section Surveyor. 

    Qualifications:
    You will be required to have: 

    • Grade 12. 
    • Diploma in Mine Surveying or Geology / GIS (NQF level 6) will be advantageous. 
    • Mine Surveying Draughting Certificate (Chamber of Mines) is required. 
    • Diploma in Microstation will be advantageous. 
    • Computer literate in Microstation / Modelmaker and MS Office is required.

    Senior Instructor Simulator (12 Months Fixed Contract)

    Job Description:

    • As the Senior Instructor Simulator you will be expected to provide a contribution to the efficient use of the simulators with regards to safe operation of mining equipment. The focus of the use of Simulators on Sishen Mine is safety, productivity and machine use.

    In this role your responsibility will include:

    • Ensuring that all operators are trained and assessed on emergency procedures and also not to get the equipment out of production for annual refresher assessments.

    Inclusive Procurement Specialist

    Job Description:

    • The Inclusive Procurement Specialist is responsible for implementing an over-arching Anglo Platinum Supply Chain Inclusive Procurement and Responsible sourcing strategies, policies, procedures, standards and associated reporting.

    You will be responsible for:

    • Implementing and maintaining Inclusive Procurement strategy, policy, procedures, standards and associated reporting.

    Reporting Analyst

    Job Description:
    Your responsibility as the Reporting Analyst will include:

    You will be required to:

    • Monthly Service Performance Reporting – producing monthly reports for input into the Service Governance forums (including manual data received from delivery teams)

    Job Description:

    • We are looking for an innovative dedicated Rock Engineer who will oversee and perform design layouts and support systems for the Coal Operation Safely. You will ensure adherence to the organisational best practice and legislative requirement.

    Section Engineering Production

    Job Description:
    As a legal appointment in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act, the Section Engineer Production will be responsible for the maintenance management of the Shovels section aligned to Anglo American’s Asset Strategy & Reliability framework, in the open pit mining section.

    • Liaise with your production teams and account for the performance of the fleet under the responsibility.
    • Consistently apply the Anglo Way principles in all team interactions and take personal responsibility for safety of self and others to ensure zero harm and elimination of fatalities and Loss Time Injuries in accordance with the Anglo American Standards, and Mine Health and Safety Act, the Anglo Safety Way and other applicable legislation.

    • 5 years post-engineering qualification experience in an operational mining environment.

    Senior Dewatering Supervisor

    Job Description:
    The focus areas for this role will be to:

    • Inspect all dewatering working areas and enforce compliance to safety standards, install and inspect all pumps, pipes, sumps, trenches and all associated ancillaries. 
    • Inspect all machinery, equipment and safety devices and take appropriate action in the event of non-compliance to legal and management specifics.
    • Inspect all barricades, demarcations, barricading off back areas, hazardous areas and abandoned workings and taking appropriate action in the event of non-compliance to legal and management specifics and ensure no water from the mining premise flows to the outside of the mine premise. 
    • Ensure no mining water enters rivers, water streams, public areas, wells and any area outside the mine premise including all leaks from pipes and temporary pipes are always repaired. 
    • Ensure all storm water run-off in the designated channels to the sumps, good housekeeping on all dewatering areas including dams. 
    • Assess and monitor the performance of dewatering teams against legal and management specifics with regards to declaring the workplace safe, all Risk Assessment and log books are completed,  required PTO’s are of the right quantity and quality are completed and the PTO matrix are complied to. 
    • Ensure all power feed cables to pumps are laid down in a safe manner and well demarcated. 
    • Monitor and advise on the ordering and procurement of pumping equipment, pipes, temporary pipes, clamps, bots and nuts, pumps and all associated ancillaries and manage stock levels of all pumps, temporary pipes, bolts an nuts, clamps and all associated ancillaries.
    • Obtain, record and report on status of all dewatering areas and volumes of water pumped on a daily basis or any intervals determined by the manager.
    • Ensure compliance to the regulation and mine safety standard and procedures and record all specified inspections required by the Minerals Act.
    • Liaise with engineering for the maintenance of pumping equipment and arrange with mining for the digging of pipe crossings, trenches, sumps and drilling of holes to dewater working areas.  
    • Obtaining and communicating operational statistics to the dewatering teams. 
    • Assisting during breakdowns or emergencies and co-ordinating support from other disciplines.
    • Communicate continuously with all the suppliers and economic resource departments. 

    This role is in the Mining department at a Band 7 level reporting to the Section Manager. 

    Qualifications:
    You will be required to have: 

    • Grade 12 with Math's and Science. 
    • National Diploma or Degree in Mining/Geology.

    Knowledge, skills and experience required: 

    • Relevant experience as a Shift Supervisor.
    • 3 years’ experience working in open pit mine (Load and haul or Drilling).
    • 2 years working experience supervising a dewatering/ pumping team in open pit. or underground shaft.

    • Support the process of consultation with Group operations and relevant disciplines in T&S on best practice, optimisation and appropriate execution of technology systems
    • Liaise with site operations to support installation of hardware; fibre optic backbone, AP, control room, etc.
    • Integration management of operational systems with IM infrastructure

    Qualifications:

    • Required: An undergraduate qualification (Bachelors / Honours Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (such as Mine, Civil or Mechanical Engineering)
    • Proven track record of extensive practical experience in a role and context of similar complexity
    • Advanced application of underground expertise to create value across the mining value chain, is a go to person for advice on heavy machine automation within the mining discipline
    • Drives improvement by challenging current practices and providing advice on the value optimised use of automation technology and processes in mining
    • Applies a systematic, problem-solving approach and structured methodologies (such as root cause analysis and statistical analysis) to investigate risks and opportunities to create effective, value-add heavy underground solutions
    • A demonstrated thought leader and considered an accomplished practitioner in the understanding and application of the Mine Engineering discipline
    • Implementation of automated technology and systems
    • Demonstrated project management capability through successful implementation
