WP Media has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced local journalist. The successful candidate will be enlisted to write for the WP Media print edition and digital platforms. The successful candidate will work closely with the editors to grow and develop content for the defined target audiences.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Contribute high-level long-form content for print in line with the editorial strategies.
- Create digital content of a high standard in line with the business needs, including web articles, social media content, video, and podcasts.
- All produced content must be in line with our publications’ style guide and adhere to the editorial structures as defined by the editors.
- Manage WP Media social media platforms and digital platforms

Educational Requirements
- A degree or diploma in English, journalism or media studies.

Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure correct scanning and loading of correct paper size, brand and grammage and check MIS loaded
- Assist with paper breaks and change over
- Fault finding
- Management of excess paper and prevention of spoilage
- Ensure accurate preparation of reels to maintain desired quality within time tolerance
- Assist on the press when required
- Ensure good housekeeping standards are maintained

Educational Requirements

Novus Print: Montague Gardens is currently seeking to appoint an individual with knowledge and experience in an FMCG printing environment to take on the role of Platemaker, to ensure the plates are produced according to the plan using CTP equipment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure all impositions are accurately checked against the work ticket, confirming that file setup and paper sizes are correct and aligned with production specifications.
- Verify and scan the correct profiles to the Press Room, ensuring accuracy and readiness for production
- Complete relevant checklists to ensure that the jobs conform to required quality standards.
- Conduct maintenance on relevant equipment i.e. image setter, processor and gum units.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels of essential consumables such as plates, chemicals, and related materials to support uninterrupted workflow.
- Liaise with internal and external clients to ensure that customer standards are met.
- Accurately record and log all production details on the relevant programs as required.
Educational Requirements
Experience Requirements
- 3-5 Years work experience in a FMCG Pre-Press environment.
- Knowledge of all aspects of Electronic Pre-press, platemaking including digital file formats and Prinergy workflow would be advantageous.
- Software knowledge: Pitstop, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator and data programming would be advantageous
