Job Description
Overview:
The Senior Manager – Audit Transformation is responsible for managing the Transformation – Change Projects. This person is expected to take up the meaningful challenges of building the Project Office into a powerful and efficient department with interventions at all levels within Deloitte Audit Africa. The incumbent will be a member of the Transformation & Change management team to drive the entire Transformation function within Deloitte Africa. A high level of efficacy in handling work matters.
The incumbent is also responsible for:
High level management of each project to ensure delivery of requested services within agreed timeframe and allocated budget
The management of assets for the duration that they are required by a project.
Primary Responsibilities/Tasks:
Take overall responsibility for all projects in Transformation & Change
Provide the necessary technical and professional support to ensure the smooth and efficient planning and implementation of the activities required to implement a business solution.
Manage the Project management Office.
Ensure that the Project Scope and approach for a project make business sense
Ensure a Project Manager is available when a project should start.
Approval of the Terms of Reference for the project. (Project Charter)
Monitor projects as required (Time, Cost, Quality)
Assist in project challenge resolution.
Ensure project communication takes place.
Ensure project risks and issues are managed.
Ensure that Project Steering Committees are constituted and take place.
Monitor the use of standards, processes, templates throughout the project.
Amend the project process as required to be flexible, adaptable, agile.
Manage project managers and project office staff.
Mentor, coach and be available to staff.
Impact:
As one of the senior managers within GIS the incumbent is a significant contributor to the success of GIS, the professional work ethic of GIS, the professional image of GIS, and delivery of IT services and business solutions to the GIS client base.
Complexity of role:
This role brings all the necessary disciplines together in a number projects (varying in from simple to extremely complex) simultaneously into a logical sequence to address the requirements of the agreed Project Scopes within agreed timeframes and budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum of 8 years Management experience in the Project Management field of which at least 3 years as an implementation analyst or business analyst dealing directly with a client base.
Minimum of 5 years experience in managing medium to large projects
Project Management diploma.

Bachelor's degree, preferably Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
3+ years of experience as a software developer experienced on server-side technologies
3+ years of experience designing and coding solutions using procedural and object-oriented programming techniques
AWS Certified Developer - Associate and/or AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
Experience with AWS services such as CloudFormation, EC2, VPC, S3
Expertise in Java / J2EE, Python, .NET, and JavaScript programming and related IDEs
Familiarity with Spring Boot, Hibernate, or equivalent frameworks
Familiarity with AWS SDKs, such as Java SDK v2, Boto3 SDK for Python, or equivalent

As a Manager Cyber Risk Management you are part of the Cyber Strategy team. You are interested in helping our clients to solve complex problems in the area of cyber risk management such as identify key cyber threats and risks, presenting a way forward on cyber risk management to the board or executive level stakeholders or transforming the cyber risk management capabilities at our clients.
