    Technical Machine Operator

    Role Purpose

    In this position, you will be responsible for the operation of assigned Stickpack machinery including set up, monitoring, troubleshooting and performance of preventative maintenance. You will inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications and will make adjustments and tooling changes as necessary to maintain quality inspections. You will perform the above in accordance with established operating procedures and guidelines, reading and interpreting SOP’s and diagrams in order to select, position and secure machinery, adjusting setting to complete tasks accurately according to specifications in a timely fashion.

    Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

    • Manufacturing products in accordance with the Production Schedule
    • Obtaining materials and components
    • Operating complex, high-speed equipment
    • Carrying out complicated changeovers and equipment set-ups
    • Applying problem-solving to diagnose and correct equipment problems
    • Ensuring parts are maintained in good condition and stored appropriately
    • Quality/GMP/Compliance
    • Conducts all manufacturing activities in accordance with GMP and SOP’s
    • Performing in-process checks and making adjustments to equipment accordingly, and recording on appropriate, accurate documentation
    • Cleaning the facility and equipment as per relevant SOP’s
    • Engineering
    • Ensuring machinery and equipment are maintained to achieve optimal performance
    • Conducting preventative maintenance work, validation, changeovers etc. are all completed as per standards and in a timely manner
    • Ensuring detailed root cause analysis investigations are conducted to properly maintain the machinery
    • Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives, both in manufacturing process and in Engineering
       

    About You

    The ideal candidate for this position will be technically skilled, but also have highly-developed problem-solving skills and demonstrated trouble shooting ability. You will be logical, able to work under pressure and to strict deadlines, delivering results consistently despite a variety of potential challenges and blockers. You will be highly motivated, managing your own workload effectively and spotting, and capitalising on, opportunities to make improvements and changes to the process which will benefit the business.

    Customer Service and Logistics Manager

    Customer Service and Logistics Manager
    In this position you will lead a small time of logistics and supply chain experts with responsible for delivering business KPI’s associated with the Inbound and Outbound deliveries and management of stock to end-customers in a compliant and cost-effective manner. Specifically, you will focus on managing the performance and relationships with our key third-party logistics suppliers. This will require significant face-time with customers and suppliers, meaning you are likely to spend at least one day a week travelling to other sites.

    You will join a dynamic and ambitious team, focused on achieving supply chain success whilst also improving processes where possible. This department is keen to take these continuous improvement opportunities, meaning the role will offer the opportunity to make changes and improvements which will be supported by the business, provided a good business case can be presented. You will be exposed to a commercial supply chain group, offering a wide range of potential career opportunities in future including commercial and marketing options.

    Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

    • Lead Sales teams to achieve goals in Supply Chain Metrics such as OTIF, Delivery, Invoice accuracy, and others.
    • Management of stock inbound and outbound processes
    • Effectively manage service issues, stock-management and allocations between customers during low stock situations.
    • Lead and Manage key contracts related to W&D service-providers including Customs-Clearance
    • Oversee process and standard work documentation related to customer ordering processes and the alignment with the LSP (Imperial)
    • Manage the business by balancing service and cost-to-serve initiatives by driving efficiency projects with customers and service providers
    • Engage with customers together with Key Accounts Manager regarding stock availability and delivery issues
    • Monitor order-processing to ensure the timely and correct processing of orders.
    • Take active role in communicating demand/supply opportunities and constraints to internal partners and customers; monitors daily operations to ensure business priorities are met.
    • Proactively establish and implement countermeasures to negative trends on OTIF and delivery issues.
    • Direct and develop effective and efficient work systems, processes, procedures and performance measurements in order to keep pace with changes in business demands, technologies, and customer expectations.
    • Management and oversight of pricing and pricing-related queries
    • NPI management and alignment between customers and GSK
       

    About You
    To truly excel in this role, you will need to be an excellent multi-tasker, able to balance multiple business priorities simultaneously whilst managing the expectations of a range of internal and external stakeholders. You must be capable of working under your own initiative, but equally happy to delegate responsibility and to trust, and help the progression of, your team. You will be highly commercial in your mindset, focused on driving results both from a performance and margins perspective. You will be resilient, able to cut through the noise in order to spot opportunities and prioritise when necessary. You will be good at communicating complicated ideas with a wide range of stakeholders and will be enthusiastic about taking opportunities to improve processes and people.

    • Experience of managing a third-party business relationship
    • Practical experience with SAP
    • Exposure to customer logistics in the retail sector
    • Additional and varied functional experience (such as finance of manufacturing, for example)
