    Senior Specialist: CVM Comm Campaigns

    Role Purpose
    The Senior Campaign Execution is based within Vodacom Business.

    Role Purpose

    • To develop and coordinate the delivery of the VBCVM executions that supports the overall VBCVM commercial strategy, as well as to assist in managing and tracking delivery against the commercial and capability roadmaps.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Generation of commercially positive ideas that will impact customers and change customer buying behaviour, personalized offers per customer segment/cohort to drive engagement & increase revenue, active days. 
    • Design, brief, maintain, and report on below the line campaign activities to promote upgrades, up-sell & cross-sell and reduce churn using Vodacom Brand CI & tonality guidelines

    Senior Specialist Gaming

    Role Purpose
    The Senior Specialist: Gaming and Sales is based within Vodacom Financial Services.

    Role purpose: 

    • Part of Vodacom’s strategic imperative is to shift to new opportunities beyond its traditional business, which includes digital content and service experiences that drive new ways for Vodacom to create communities and deliver value to those customers through powerful customer experience.  
    • The Senior Specialist: Gaming is responsible for achieving the required levels of service/product delivery, marketing and customer adoption, revenue uplift and customer experience within the Gaming portfolio of Digital Services.
    • The Senior Specialist: Gaming is required to conceptualise, execute and manage the Gaming product/service portfolio, content strategy, strategic and tactical marketing, and customer experience. The Senior Specialist: Gaming is required to build relationships above and beyond all key stakeholders, including content partners, technical and marketing teams. The Senior Specialist: Gaming is required to conceptualise, own and drive the achievement of the product/service roadmap with all relevant technical and project management teams including the respective content partners who assist Vodacom in bringing these services to life.
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Responsible for researching and understanding the evolving trends, benchmarks and developments in the consumer digital services market, with a particular focus on Gaming and related mobile content services.
    • Leveraging both internal and external research and guidance to apply relevant enhancements to the Gaming products and services delivered through Vodacom’s various content partners.

    Business Development Manager - IoT

    Role Purpose

    The IoT Business Development Manager is based within Vodacom Business.

     

    Role purpose: 

    • To achieve and exceed the IoT sales targets (primary targets are revenue and total contract value for) in the respective service industry cluster across the Vodacom Business segments/ Industry Verticals, channels and regions.

    Principal Specialist : Lending Operation

    Role Purpose
    The Principal Specialist : Lending Operations and Sales is based within Vodacom Financial Services.

    Role purpose

    • The incumbent is required to provide day-to-day business , product and sales operational support to the Vodacom Financial Services Lending team.     Customer Acquisition Agent

    Role Purpose
    The Agent Customer Acquisition is based within Infinity Services Partner Division.

    Role Purpose

    • To process applications for credit vetting, activations and transfer of ownership; as escalated through the relevant customer acquisition workflow and queue management systems

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To perform detailed, accurate and relevant assessment of all credit vetting requests escalated for manual assessment; in according with company policy and guidelines
    • Process manual customer credit applications with the intention of improving the company’s overall market share whilst maintaining an acceptable level of bad debt

    Senior Specialist: Digital Media and Planning

    Role Purpose

    The role is accountable for growing and driving customer engagement across all relevant digital platforms, including customer adoption of digital sales and self-service channels. The role will provide clear direction for all digital media strategy and planning across the whole Vodacom business, working in close coordination with the Brand, Segment, Product and Digital Channel squads. Outputs include driving campaign strategies and plans to deliver on overall brand and commercial goals within the various business units.     • Work with outside agencies and media partners, including but not limited to those such as creative and social media partners to establish media goals, objectives and strategies and provide leadership when necessary in developing, negotiating and implementing creative media solutions

    Role Purpose:

    • To receive Vodacom contracts and upgrades from Stores and Regional offices.     Senior Specialist Solutions Architect: AWS

    Role Purpose
    The Senior Specialist Solutions Architect, AWS role is based within Vodacom Business

    As a part of AWS Cloud Services team, the purpose of the role is to interact with customers to gather technical requirements, architect customer infrastructure & networks, deliver solutions based on AWS cloud platform and compile solution proposal documentation in the AWS cloud services space as part of the Sales process.

    Role Purpose

    • The Senior Specialist: Solutions Architect, AWS role is based within Vodacom Business
    • As a part of AWS Cloud Services team, the purpose of the role is to interact with customers to gather technical requirements, architect customer infrastructure & networks, deliver solutions based on AWS cloud platform and compile solution proposal documentation in the AWS cloud services space as part of the Sales process.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • In partnership with the sales team, formulate and execute a sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of AWS.
    • As a key member of the business development and sales team, ensure success in building and migrating applications, software and services on the AWS platform
    • Help educate customers on the value proposition of AWS, and participate in deep architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for successful deployment in the cloud.
    • Regularly meet with the internal parties; e.g. Products and Engineering teams; as well as external parties; e.g. suppliers and partners; in order to understand internal and external roadmaps, technology strategies and product strategies.

    The ideal candidate for the role will have:

    • The ability to help customers maximise their business value with the adoption of AWS.
    • 5+ years of experience in the design and implementation of complex IT solutions (including scalable cloud-based solutions and micro services architectures).Hands on Experience with AWS
    • Experience in infrastructure, database and networking architecture for highly available, Internet-scale applications
    • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with CTOs, enterprise architects, IT management, and developers
    • High level of comfort communicating effectively across internal and external organisations
    • Excellent Interpersonal skills.  

    Key performance indicators:

    • The ability to provide a solution-focused consultancy service to clients and build proposals based on Well-Architected frameworks meeting the required deadlines. This will be in support of sales and presales colleagues, which will entail the analysing of complex customer requirements. 
    • Provide high-level assistance and support prior to solution implementation, during solution implementation and post solution implementation
       

    This is an individual contributor role working with cross-functional teams. 

    Technical / professional qualifications: 

    • Matric/Grade 12  (Essential)  
    • 3 year Degree in IT or Engineering related field (essential).
    • 5-10 Years relevant experience in IT or Engineering (essential).  
    • AWS Solution Architect Certificates; Associates, Developer, Professional.
    • Hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (e.g. AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, Amazon ECS, Amazon DynamoDB, AWS CodeStar, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeCommit, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodeDeploy, AmazonElasticsearch service, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon CloudFront etc.)
    • Experience in a customer-facing, sales-aligned role such as consultant, solutions engineer or solutions architect
