    Specialist Commercial Business Analyst

    Role Purpose

    The Service Management Delivery Specialist delivers activities across the business cycle phases: sell, build, run. Commencing with customer engagement and identifying business growth opportunities based on the customer needs and capabilities. They create a commercially viable business case, overseeing the transition of business cycle phases into BAU and ensuring the service is delivered as per agreed SLAs and KPIs through regular reporting and formal updates. The Service Management Delivery Specialist has a good understanding of established concepts and procedures in continuous improvement of the customer service, managed via service improvement and service development plans. And they focus on managing the customer relationship to ensure they receive the contracted service to the standard required throughout the contract term. Typically reports to the Service Management Delivery Manager.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    This role will integrate all required data sources across the Retail operations division & other business areas and ensure timely availability of clean, complete and accurate data and delivery of the data in the required format

    • This role will design, implement and maintain performance indicators and monitoring mechanisms for various requirements at a Divisional, Group and EXCO level.
    • The role will integrate all the data reports across the Retail Operations division to provide a consistent and integrated single report for analysis purpose
    • This role will formulate together with the operational business unit and FBP viable business cases to validate future activities and associated costing models, including the monitoring of the delivery against the business cases to reconcile forecast and actual activity, both financial and operational performance metrics.
    • Assemble and summarise data to structure sophisticated reports
       

    The ideal candidate for this role will have

    • Matric/Grade 12 (Essential) and
    • 3 year degree essential in commerce, economics, Finance or related field.
    • CIMA qualification an advantage
    • A minimum of 3 years’ data & reporting and/or business analysis experience is essential with exposure to:
    • Design, deliver, maintain and update a fully integrated data base of validated and accurate information
    • Assist Retail analytics team with data analysis and extracts and provide relevant input to aid in the resolution of business problems
    • Responsible for all Retail related reports and ensure all reporting are delivered timeously in the correct format to the correct business area with relevance to the business problem/requirements.
    • Operational Retail/Support experience highly beneficial

    OR

    • A minimum of 5 years’ data & reporting and/or business analysis experience is essential with exposure to:
    • Design, deliver, maintain and update a fully integrated data base of validated and accurate information
    • Assist Retail analytics team with data analyses and extracts and provide relevant input to business problems

    Purpose of the role 

    • Facilitate the intra Technology Commercial engagement and partner with the Enterprise Business Unit (Vodacom Business) to deliver on Technology and Digital business solutions across the various Lines of Business and channels within Vodacom Business in alignment with the strategy and budget.
    • The role also includes the management of the non-Mobile CRM operations and support services as well as leading, managing and nurturing the development of a diverse skilled and motivated team IT team.

    Your Responsibilities will include

    • Foster a strong the Techno-Commercial interface between the Business Unit, Technology and other business enabling channels
    • End to end Business Unit portfolio management by leveraging Business Analysis and Solution Architecture skills to ensure an IT delivery of value to business.
    • Manage the prioritisation of the Business Unit demand roadmap against company strategy, budget and capacity constraints (balancing demand against supply capacity) and ensuring business and technical counterparts are aligned to deliver.
    • Manage the development and ensure sound delivery practices, design principles and solution architectures are implemented in alignment with the underlying architectures of enterprise BSS/OSS systems best practices
    • Managed Product Development ensuring re-use of capabilities and product solutions and journeys which deliver on a seamless customer experience.
    • Deliver IT for IT and other IT operational demands effectively to ensure ongoing availability and operation resilience
    • Ensure systems availability and performance of the CRM system landscape meets divisional SLA’s.
    • Manage budgets – Capital & Operational Expenditure budgeting, forecasting. Expenditure optimised and in line with business and IT for IT expectations.
    • Manage suppliers to ensure performance in line with managed services KPIs, working with SCM procurement to ensure contractual obligations are met and relevant
    • Develop a high performing team of permanent and contractor staff ensuring aligned with IT strategy and highly skilled to deliver in the functions assigned. 
    • Lead and own the B2B architecture, ensuring all decisions regarding systems development are align with the targeted vision and ensure guidance and implementation toward this.

    • Stakeholder Management
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in delivery of CRM BSS/OSS systems is essential, with Fixed Line, Mobile, Fibre and other broadband technologies would be an advantage 
    • A minimum of 4 years’ experience in Applications Operations of large scale enterprise systems in an ITIL framework context
    • A Minimum of 4-5yrs experience in a Leadership/Management role essential

    Desired
    Ideally will have experience of both consumer and enterprise customer experience management.
    An honours or masters degree although not essential would be an advantage.

    Specialist : Business Support Systems

    Role Purpose:

    • The incumbent will support the Business Support Systems (BSS) strategy, refine requirements for delivering the necessary technology services to business needs, provide technical leadership on projects and provide software-related application support. Responsibilities include analyzing, designing technical stories, developing code, documenting requirements and testing of deliverables against user requirements.
       

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • To design, develop and implement world-class services/products solutions in line with the business requirements.
    • Conduct research on and keep abreast on the latest technology trends and provide architectural inputs for development of new products and services.
    • To define, implement, integrate and document technical solutions for BSS Systems which are Voucher Management System, Oracle Fusion Middleware and Database technologies.
    • Ensure that systems within Business Support Systems Conforms to CyberSecurity Guidelines.
    • To carry out research on network impact analysis for various business requirements (i.e. new products/services) in conjunction with the various Engineering divisions.
    • To lead the project team through the deployment process of BSS systems changes.
    • Provide high level support prior to products/services implementation, during products/services implementation and post products/services implementation.
    • Compile User Requirements Specifications document for new products/services and systems enhancements.
    • Provide technical co-ordination of BSS initiatives, and facilitate of workshops and requirements gathering sessions.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric (Essential).
    • 3 year Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology (Essential).
    • 3 years working experience in the Technology Industry.
    • 3 years Relational Database and/or LDAP experience.
    • Some development experience and working knowledge of Oracle fusion will be an added advantage.
    • Must be prepared to travel.
