    Contact Centre Administrator

    Job Description:

    The Contact Centre Administrator responsible for handling and logging of all first line customer and stakeholder enquiries that pertain to Employee Services within De Beers and Anglo-American Group of companies.

    More of your responsibilities will include:

    • Accurately assess customer needs and affectively address these in a professional manner
    • Interact with customers and service providers, including suppliers where applicable
    • Respond to enquiries and queries (prioritizing as appropriate), investigate problems, and develop remedial plans to resolve problems within acceptable time parameters (as per Service Level Agreement)
    • Escalate incidents and problems as appropriate to enhance timeous resolution.
    • Provide first line problem resolution service for EMEA Employee Services supported business units
    • Appropriately assign case files to payroll Tier 2 for resolution where applicable.
    •  Develop a strong working relationship with the processing center to facilitate efficient query resolution and ensure effective management of workflow.
    •  Follow up with customers, providing feedback, guidance and information to clients and service providers
    • Record all interactions with customers on the approved system
    •  Assist customers in the utilization of self-service (where applicable)

    Qualifications:

    • National Higher Diploma or relevant degree would be an advantage

    General Engineering Supervisor – (UG TMM)

    Job Description:

    The successful candidate will be required to:

    • Supervises and assists with coordination of engineering activities safely, efficiently and cost effectively to meet short term production objectives.
    • Manages resources to deliver maintenance and operational targets.
    • Ensures compliance with all legal, environmental, occupational health and safety and risk management standards and best practices.
    • Contributes to continuous improvement and asset optimisation initiatives for engineering processes.
    • Investigate, diagnose and perform trade related maintenance and repair of equipment and machinery according to the maintenance requirements.
    • Attend to defects raised on pre-start reports, breakdown sheets and over-inspection reports.
    • Perform electrical infrastructure and equipment over-inspection on work done by apprentices and operators where appropriate and provide feedback and guidance as required.
    • Discuss work backlog and future work requirements with the Supervisor and plan corrective measures to rectify, e.g., re-scheduling, prioritising, labour assistance, etc.
    • Identify spares requirements and order according to operational and departmental procedures.
    • Perform inspections in accordance with the Mine Health & Safety Act regulations, manufacturing, and company standards to report all defects and breakdowns on equipment and machinery to the Supervisor.
    • Implement Risk Management plans according to operational requirements and provide consultation on minimisation of engineering risk.
    • Perform technical investigations into equipment failures and accident damages.
    • Planning of activities in accordance with production schedules and allocation of resources as required.
    • Manage and control the allocation of funds to ensure adherence to approved budgeted expenditure.
    • Effective communication to relevant stakeholder to minimize production delays.
    • Training and development of subordinates.

    Qualifications:

    Education & Experience:

    • National Diploma or National Technical (N6) certificate with minimum of 5 years previous supervisory experience in underground Trackless Mobile Equipment environment / relevant underground experience, OR
    • N4 Certificate and Trade in Diesel or relevant Trade with minimum 10 years previous supervisory experience in underground Trackless Mobile Equipment environment / relevant underground experience
    • Successfully obtain a Red Ticket (Medical Fitness certificate) to work underground.
    • The post is dependent on the successful completion of the Company’s pre-employment protocol such as qualifications verification, relevant psychometric and technical assessments and a clear security clearance.
    • Extensive experience with the maintenance and management of the following equipment is critical, amongst others
      • Drill rigs
      • Spraymec/Shotcreter
      • Agicar
      • Articulated Dump Truck
      • Charge-up machine
      • UV/IT/Flatbed/Manitou
      • Light vehicles
      • Bolters

    Skills & Competencies:

    • Independent, proactive thinking and have the ability to do own job planning including SAP.

    Millwright UG

    Job Description:

    As a Millwright Underground you will be responsible to:

    • Obtain daily and weekly work instructions from Mine Supervisor
    • Prepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements in order to complete tasks
    • Ensure that all resources requirements are communicated to Mine Supervisor in order to complete allocated work orders
    • Inform the Team Leader when work is being conducted in the area of responsibility
    • Co-ordinate maintenance activities with the Team Leader, to ensure that the operation is not effected or alternative plans need to be prepared
    • Show the appropriate Team Leader how certain low level maintenance and preventative steps can be undertake by the operational team within process
    • Communicate any stumbling blocks to the appropriate Mine Supervisor so that plans can be made
    • Ensure the safe and proper running of all machinery and equipment are conducted
    • Be available for after-hours standby duty

    Job Description:

    Job Overview

    We are currently recruiting for an energetic, innovative, driven Systems Engineer to join our team. The role is based at our Springs site and will report to the Site Engineering Manager.

    Duties and tasks

    • Software development on PLC control systems.
    • Development of production dashboards.
    • Process data interpretation and presentation of key parameters.
    • Machine and process automation.
    • Maintain process Historian.
    • Provide technical support for site control systems.
    • Assist with the implementation of manufacturing systems.
    • Responsible for contractor management.

    Qualifications:

    Qualifications and experience

    • B.Tech. Electrical Engineering: Instrumentation
    • BSc. Electronic Engineering: Instrumentation
    • At least 5 years maintenance & project experience in the manufacturing industry.
    • Experience in programming and troubleshooting of Siemens PLC systems.
    • Experience with the control and monitoring of OEM systems.
    • Design, engineer, test and troubleshoot control systems.
    • Ability to work independently while applying the available resources.
    • Make decisions under pressure.
    • Experience in MES - Siemens Opcenter would be beneficial
    • Ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team.
    • SCADA implementation and production rollout.
    • Industrial networks.
    • Ability to write SQL queries on various database platforms i.e. Oracle, DB2 and SQL Server (desired)
    • Good understanding in Hyper-V and Vmware environment (desired)
