    Learning and Development Designer

    Job Purpose

    As part of the Learning & Development team, this role will be dedicated to creating engaging learning programs/content and support the MAH learning strategy. This role requires very strong learning theory and instructional design knowledge and experience.

     

    Job Responsibilities

    • Conduct a thorough design analysis to gather required information. E.g. target audience, content covered, file size limit, screen resolution, deployment devices
    • Design and develop screen and content graphics to shape solutions aligned with expectations
    • Follow brand guidelines as prescribed
    • Implement stakeholder feedback and amendments in designs
    • The design approach is applied consistently
    • Color, font and spacing is used to enhance the user’s experience and facilitate learning
    • Should have a basic understanding of UX/UI design. For example:

                - Navigation is intuitive

                - Learners can easily identify where they are in a course

                - Menu screen and menu icons are clearly visible

    • The chosen graphics facilitate the learning experience and fit the learning programme (know your audience and the message you need to convey)
    • Interactivity is used to enhance the experience
    • The developed solution is 100% functional, without errors or dead-ends
    • Implement stakeholder feedback and amendments on functionality, in the developed solution
    • The developed solution is published in the required format. E.g. SCORM 1.2
    • Liaise with product owners, in market countries, clients, imagery companies, agencies, production, facility, etc to deliver as per scope.
    • Execute last minute demands.
    • Meet deadlines & briefs.
    • Work with team members to achieve collective goals; seek collaboration and understand the viewpoints and perceptions of others in the group; be sensitive to team dynamics and build trust and confidence in others.
    • Knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in a graphic design related discipline, or proof of equivalent industry experience

    Work Experience

    • Extensive experience in a related role, preferably in a corporate environment
    • Extensive experience working in a commercial e-learning development environment, preferably related to on-line and blended learning
    • Highly proficient in design packages (specifically Adobe Creative Cloud –Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Bridge etc.)
    • Working knowledge of design for responsive solutions
    • Extensive experience of developing graphical design concepts for digital outputs (e.g. eLearning, web-based, mobile, online documentation)
    • Detailed knowledge of relevant trends, capabilities and techniques in the field of graphic design
    • Interaction Design and UX/UI
    • Understanding of Content Deployment platforms
    • Design Thinking approach

    Tax Accountant Africa: Finance Shared Services

    Key Performance Objectives
    Controls, Governance & Policies

    • Responsible for the development, implementation and maintenance of the system of robust controls, procedures and policies
    • Responsible for monitoring compliance to Tax Act
    • Responsible for monitoring compliance with policies
    • Review and implement recommendations to policies
    • Ensuring compliance with the tax framework
    • Assist with providing / collating information to SARS queries
    • Documentation of all processes and ensuring that the relevant controls have been implemented
    • Assist with SA CFC compliance

    Monthly Activities

    • Monthly preparation of detailed tax computations in accordance with tax legislation for group companies
    • Preparation of monthly tax journals in SAP
    • Preparation of monthly tax disclosure in accordance with tax legislation. Submission of disclosure on HFM
    • Preparation of monthly tax cashflow disclosure and submission to the Central Accounting Team
    • Monthly preparation and filing of indirect taxes and verification
    • Ensure accuracy, validity and completeness of SARS payments
    • Compiling and review of tax schedules for submission to SARS
    • Monthly clearing of GL accounts
    • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations
    • Performing monthly tax reasonability, analysis and explanation for variances
    • Preparation of monthly tax dashboard
    • Guidance on the transactional tax treatment
    • Assistance with the implementation of processes and monitoring plan

    Interim and Year-end activities

    • Preparation of tax packs/audit packs
    • Preparation of disclosure for accounting packs and Annual Financial Statements
    • Preparation of tax returns
    • IT14SD – tax reconciliations
    • Calculation of provisional tax and payment
    • Assist with country-by-country reporting
    • Interaction with external auditors and audit queries


    General

    • Assisting the Record to Report Senior Manager on strategic finance projects as determined by the Head of Finance Shared Services
    • Ad hoc projects that arise on a continuing basis
    • Analysis
    • Quarterly MAL tax analysis
    • Attend to business partner queries
    • Manage, improve and develop relationships with internal & external stakeholders

    Qualifications

    • BComm in Accounting
    • Tax qualification preferred (HDip Tax / Advanced tax diploma)

    Experience / Skills

    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in a similar role
    • Sound, detailed knowledge and experience in IFRS (including hedge accounting, accounting for FECs, IFRS 9 and IFRS 15) and Taxation rules
    • Africa Tax Experience
    • SAP system experience
    • Hyperion Financial Management
    • Advanced excel skills
    • Minimum 3 years’ people management experience in a similar role

    Production Accountant - General Entertainment

    Key Performance Areas
    Tasks

    • Provide inputs into the development and maintenance of the Content production commissioning pack
    • Assist producers with budget planning, cost alignment to format requirements and submissions for local productions
    • Advice on and monitor production expenses and financial submission reports against contracted parameters
    • Manage, review and evaluate budget submissions
    • Review and feedback internally on the evaluation of producer financial deliverables.
    • Check and sign off financial aspects pertaining to contract approvals
    • Provide input into cash flow forecasting and advise the business accordingly
    • Reconstruct and reconcile production accounts where necessary
    • Coordinate and assist with production audits
    • Liaise with auditors with queries relating to production accounts both internally and externally
    • Research and analysis of rate cards, statutory laws and industry-related requirements to keep database and information resources up to date
    • Ensuring that proper records and filing systems are maintained within the department and production environment.
    • Manage the reporting process and compliance for all productions:
      • Monthly reporting for productions
      • Variance analysis
      • Preparation of budgets and forecast
      • Costing and recoveries
      • Presentation of final production review

    Qualification

    • Must have a CIMA, B Comm or B Tech with up to 4 years related experience or equivalent qualification


    Experience

    • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a credit control/cost management and transactional bookkeeping in a financial environment
    • Sound knowledge of production industry or similar project orientated industry
    • Excellent attention to detail
    • Strong finance and administration skills
    • Strong computer literacy (Microsoft Office applications), advanced excel
    • SAP and production accounting system would be advantageous
