    Shipping Admin Clerk

    Purpose:

    Mr Price Logistics is looking for a motivated, passionate with an eye for detail Administrative Clerk to join the Shipping Department. Duty drawback allows the Mr Price to claim refunds of duties paid on imported merchandise that is exported for trade purposes in the same condition                                                                                                                                   

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare high volume duty drawback claims utilizing both computerized and manual systems and files.
    • Assisting with preparation and submission of complete duty refund claim applications (DA66) to SARS
    • Prepare the necessary documentation, quality control and collate all relevant import documentation in line with SARS legislations
    • Contribute to the achievement of team targets and facilitate problem solving within the process of the core job functio
    • Quality control check drawback claims / refund jackets.
    • Manage multiple concurrent drawback claims
    • Keep a detailed register of all draw back claims
    • Submit manual / electronic drawback jackets to SARS and manage the refund process
    • Coordinating SARS export supervision inspections for the dutiable cargo being exported, in accordance with SARS regulations. Candidate must be willing to travel to and from SARS/Customs and MRP DC in accordance with inspection of goods.
    • Issue instructions to third party export service provider to draft, submit and provide copies of relevant export bills of Entry in accordance with DA63 and SARS requirements
    • Drafting SARS applications for permission to export goods under Customs supervision and subsequently claim a duty refund thereafter
    • Show capabilities to develop and maintain business relationships with SARS officials to optimize efficiency of workflow.
    • Be proficient in Microsoft excel and have strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to directly interact with customs.
    • Deadline driven and able to work independently with minimal guidance
    • Assist the shipping department when required.
    • Work with various stakeholders to ensure process is completed within agreed export lead days
    • Provide updates and feedback to Duty Drawback team Leader for executive summary of progress on a weekly basis
    • Keeping records of processed consignment documents in accordance with SARS Refund/ Drawback requirements
    • Providing Ad-hoc support on export queries
    • Work with respective stakeholders and SARS Customs officials to ensure all procedures are compliant with regulations of SARS Refund/Drawback policies and external guides
    • Ensure Duty Drawback register and Consignment Tracker is updated at all times for reporting purposes

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification
    • A completed qualification in Shipping/ Import and Export / Freight forwarding/ International trade.
    • Must be computer literate with an intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
    • Excellent communication and good interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work accurately, with strict attention to detail
    • Ability to work in a fast paced, highly pressurized environment and able to meet deadlines

    Learning & Development Coordinator (Merch Programmes)

    Purpose:

    This customer facing individual will be required to coordinate, record and report on the logistics activities required to deliver learning solutions for the mrp academy and business.  Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities are required to deliver optimal use of our Learning Management System. Ability to work proficiently on Excel and must have a keen interest in reporting and a certain element of finance. 

    key responsibilities

    • Coordinate various logistics aspects (research, schedule, plan, capture and report) of L & D learning solutions delivery to ensure sessions are successfully implemented. This may include:
    • Scheduling learning solutions or executing learning solution schedules as received from Program Managers.  (Booking of internal/external training venues, facilitators, resources)
    • Where appropriate, researching potential training solutions.
    • Communication with stakeholders (delegates, people managers, facilitators, L&D team, external facilitators, external venues, etcetera.).  Ensuring
    • Learning Experience Coordinator is aware to ensure printing, catering etcetera is planned and executed.
    • Liaison with Travel department, HR business partners, Line Managers, external vendors, academy stakeholders and delegates. Communicate via multiple platforms (POS, SMS, MS Teams and Emails)
    • Monitor occupancy rate (attendance and non-attendance) and give feedback to   relevant parties.

    Administration and Reporting:                  

    • Accurately capture and file attendance registers, delegate and facilitator feedback forms etcetera.  Capture vendor invoices as pertinent.  Ensure highest standards of data integrity.
    • Compile, analyze and interpret custom and recurring reports for business (for example BEE, EE, ATR)
    • Support Skills Development Facilitator by capturing SETA Learnership information.
    • Assist in providing support evidence / administration for ATR / BEE audits on behalf of the business.
    • Learning Management System:
    • Trouble shoot and test functionality and processes in the LMS.
    • Accurately load new and updated learning material (Classroom training, online programmes, articles, videos, curricula, pre- and post - assessments etc.) onto the Learning Management System ensuring most recent version is delivered.
    • Support the L&D team and business by configuring and maintaining systems functionality.
    • Liaise with IT support and LMS vendor agent to resolve bugs or new system configuration based on business need. 
    • Coordinate any existing ad hoc business LMS requirements and demonstrate functionality where appropriate.
    • Support users where necessary to navigate LMS based on the Learning and Development Programme Managers framework.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12
    • A completed related HR or Learning and Development qualification
    • A minimum of 2 years of experience within a Learning / Training and Development administration / support role
    • Proficient with the MS office suite including Excel, Outlook, Word

    Assistant Store Manager

    Purpose;

    Support the store manager in managing the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.                                          Key Responsibilities

    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans etc.) to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
    • Authorise write offs, breakages, recalls and returns.                     

    Sales Growth & Profitability:

    • Analyse sales & profitability reports in store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance and monitor store expenditure.
    • Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to support centre and enhance sales.
    • Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness. This may include: in-store marketing, competitor shopping, partnering/participating in local events and driving new accounts/memberships per targets (if applicable)   

    Risk Management:

    • Conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g. admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, security etc.) to ensure and enforce overall compliance to policies and procedures

    Customer Experience Management:

    • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes (through the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, general housekeeping etc.) to meet customer service standards.

    Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
    • Identify & drive training, coaching and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.

    Requirements

    Education:

    • Grade: 12/NQF 4.

    Experience:

    • 3 Years' Experience in Retail (Management Experience Advantageous).

    Knowledge/ Skills:

    • Understanding of Sales & Service Management.
    • Budgeting Skills.
    • Computer Literate.
    • Good Communication Skills
    • Understanding of Retail Trade.
