    Project Administrator

    Purpose of the position

    • To support and enhance the PPPrev Programme and management team’s effectiveness using a variety of administrative, project management, communication & organisational skills

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Degree/diploma from a college or university
    • Training or equivalent combination of education and experience in Management or Project Management
    • 3 years’ project management & administrative experience
    • Public health services experience
    • Data management and reporting experience
    • Intermediate level computer (MS office) certificate
    • Code 08 driver’s licence
    • Proficiency in English & IsiZulu languages

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Ensure timely submission of all weekly and monthly reports due from all PPPrev Programme staff - from office staff to field staff, coordinating with Regional Manager & Nurse Clinicians and other staff members on site to make sure all reports are completed and filed appropriately
    • Create catalogue of all PPPrev publications and presentations and file on drop-box
    • Primarily support Regional Manager in day to day operations of the PPPrev programme
    • Secondarily support all PPPrev Programme Coordinators, Nurse Clinicians, PPPrev admin on site, and others in PPPrev programme as directed by the Regional Manager
    • Attend staff meetings, take minutes for meetings and circulate meeting minutes in an efficient and timeously manner
    • Ensure that all equipment of PPPrev teams is kept in good working order, maintained and serviced when required, with support from office admin on site
    • Track site stock levels of IEC material and hygiene commodities, stationery, books, and order as required by Regional Manager
    • Ensure that all staff complete acknowledgement of receipt form for assets taken.
    • Keep records of all supplies given to PPPrev office or core staff
    • Source quotes from suppliers, compile and submit TB HIV Care requisition to Regional Manager for appropriate authorization
    • Assist HR with providing performance related information including reviews, job descriptions, etc. and coordinating logistics, documents, appointments, etc.

    Facilitator

    Purpose of the position:

    • The purpose of this job is to facilitate multi-session evidence based structural programmes and conduct risk reduction to vulnerable AGYW to provide information and promote positive behaviour change in a safe space.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 certificate
    • Accredited / recognised 10 days counselling certificate
    • Facilitation training and beneficiary of PPPrev Programme would be an advantage
    • One-year facilitation experience working in the community
    • Computer literate in MS office
    • Proficiency in English and isiZulu languages
    • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence and own transport
    • Knowledge of the district health system, including structures like District AIDS Council, Local AIDS Council and war rooms
    • Candidates must reside within 5kms of the district you are applying for
    • Duties and Responsibilities    
    • Identify safe spaces in the community where structural programmes can be conducted
    • Conduct vulnerability pre-screening and identify the vulnerable girls to participate in structural sessions
    • Provide multi session structural programmes
    • Conduct online comprehensive risk reduction assessment
    • Ensure layering between structural programmes and behavioural and biomedical services
    • Support structural program coordinators (SPC) with mapping out of the communities, schools and institutions of higher learning with burden of disease

    • Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings
    • Attends training and workshops as part of staff development

    • Assist beneficiaries to complete all the fields in the register including SA ID and other PEPFAR UID related fields as well as the Zimisele card number upon graduation.
    • Enter each beneficiary LIVE on the CommCare Zimisele App upon issuing the Zimisele card during graduation
    • Records and maintains accurate and detailed information and keeps statistics in order to submit as required
    • Ensure compliance to POPIA
    • Submits weekly/ monthly reports to the supervisor

    Clinical Trainer

    Purpose of the position

    • The purpose of this position is to oversee, facilitate and support training which is conducted by the organisation in the field of HIV, TB, STI, primary health care and structural programms with TB HIV Care, Department of Health and partners.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
    • Certificate/diploma in HIV/AIDS management
    • A post-graduate diploma in nursing education Certificate in MS office
    • NIMART trained
    • Trained on APC (Adult Primary Care)
    • An accredited certificate in facilitation and assessment or equivalent experience
    • 1 years’ experience with having initiated patients
    • SANC registered
    • Extensive knowledge of HIV/AIDS, STI and TB in prevention, treatment and care on the latest guidelines
    • Valid Code 08 driver’s licence

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Provides training support
    • Liaise with regional manager and training department to carry out training according to work plan and organisational priorities
    • Responds to training requests and plans appropriate training
    • Plans all aspects of training including ensuring the necessary authorisations are completed, venue is arranged, training resources are prepared and any other aspects are planned in advance
    • Ensures training material is suitable to the audience, the context and relevant health regulations and protocols
    • Conducts training on the following topics TB, HIV, ART, STI’s, Adult Primary Care (PC101), NIMART, PMTCT, HIV rapid testing, RTCQI, IPC, CQIMMC, including guideline updates and refresher training.
    • Attends “Train the Trainer”, DOH training, and other training events as a representative of the organisation
    • Conducts skills audits and develops training plans in liaison with key programme staff and Department of Health and others in accordance with required outputs.
    • Updates own skills and remains current in field of HIV prevention by attending relevant courses and meetings
    • Facilitates training programmes according to agreed standards and curricula, as well as requirements of Department of Health
    • Facilitates training programmes according to learning outcomes and industry standards, and for differing staff levels
    • Amends and revises training programmes in order to adapt to changes in the field, district or sector
    • Evaluates trainees using standardised assessment procedures
    • Ensures at least the majority of the trainees are competent at the end of the training
    • Reviews training courses and facilitators on a regular basis
    • Ensures expected outcomes of participants and the organisation are met
    • Conducts assessments and supports the completion of POEs for training where required
    • Promotes quality assurance in training
    • Maintains good working relationships with the Department of Health, Regional Training Centre and other stakeholders
    • Provides feedback and/or implements training of others after attending such events.
    • Completes necessary reports after each training event, as well as weekly and monthly reports

    Peer Educator

    Purpose of the position:

    • The peer educator will conduct mobilisation and pre-vulnerability screening to identify the vulnerable AGYW and record on the mobilisation register and case management register. Provide case management to all AGYW initiated on PrEP to promote continuation in care.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Accredited/recognised 10 Days HIV counselling certificates
    • Certified to conduct finger prick testing
    • One (1) years’ related experience and/or training
    • Ability to communicate in English and isiZulu languages
    • Residing within the allocated ward
    • Driver’s licence would be advantageous and own transport

    Additional Requirements:

    • All candidates must be between 18-29 years
    • Candidates must reside within 5kms from the clinic you are applying for
    • Duties and Responsibilities    
    • Conduct mapping, with the guidance of the Structural Programme Coordinator, to identify hots spots to mobilise AGYW for HIV prevention
    • Draw on knowledge of the target community to identify community-based organisations, youth structures, youth ambassadors and Community Health Workers to support the mobilisation efforts
    • Conduct pre-screening to identify vulnerable AGYW
    • Educate (AGYW) about HIV and available prevention services
    • Implement effective case management strategies in accordance with the case management standard operating procedures.
    • Ensure that referrals to outside agencies are made
    • Support the team in assessing the needs of youth in relation to HIV prevention, linkage to care and adherence to treatment
    • Communicate with all beneficiaries assigned as per SOP
    • Inform the Structural Programme Coordinator about operational challenges
