    Process Optimizer

    A day in the life of a Process Optimization Specialist:

    Identifying Improvement Initiatives

    • Actively participate and lead in Function/Department DOR/WOR/MOR/QOR reviews to understand performance and challenges.
    • Proactive in proposing new continuous improvement initiatives in all ends to end processes.
    • Reduction/ prevention of future exceptions by ongoing measurement of root cause of failures.
    • Calibrate with stakeholders (Line Managers/HOD) to align on initiative, expected deliverables and timelines.
    • Create visibility of resource requirements to execute actions (time required to work on initiatives).

    Capability Building to Sustain Improvement

    • Ensure all training actions are documented (who, when, what, how) with support from E&T specialist
    • Support E&T specialist to track, monitor and feedback on execution of training interventions
    • Demonstrate version control is in place to track new/updated/revised SOP's and Standard Routines
    • Able to demonstrate a coaching culture exists through planned job observations linked to new ways of working
    • Support Line Managers in identifying employees who have the potential to be trained and certified on Six Sigma
    • Promote the documenting (learning log) and sharing of good practices across the organization at all levels.

    Improvement Initiatives Management

    • Increase efficiency by monitoring the progress of the agreed initiatives / Projects for all O2C processes.
    • Improve visibility and tracking of ongoing and completed improvement initiatives and controls set in place using GA principles.
    • Effective analysis of data to support the identification and execution of improvement initiatives - continuous improvement.
    • Run the Zone calls for the Customer Supply Chain in ESAR (co-ordinate and execute).
    • Upskill constantly on new solutions and co-ordinate with FRM to ensure best solutions have business case studies for approval.
    • Enhancements on the existing applications/solutions to ensure relevance.
    • Stakeholder management to the business on new solutions and enhancements and new features.
    • Attend PO network meetings and create a network to ensure best practices are followed.               

    What will make you successful?

    • BCom degree/diploma (Supply Chain and/or relevant degree).
    • Six Sigma minimum green belt.
    • Stakeholder management on all levels with internal and external stakeholders
    • High level of PPT (PowerPoint) skills in order to present in all internal and external forums.
    • Strong organisational skills.

    Customer Supply Chain Lead

    A day in the life of a Customer Solutions Analyst Lead:

    • To ensure that all exceptions are resolved within agreed SLAs through Resolution Cockpit and ensure that all escalations are addressed in a timely manner as per agreed SLA. (for Market and Remote team).                                            
    • Ensure that all resource planning is done daily to ensure maximum execution in the CSA team.  (for Market and Remote team).                                                  
    • Recruit, train, develop and motivate the CSA team to ensure succession plans are in place.  Ensure that all processes and standards are adhered to and ensure adherence to GLOBE best practice.
    • Ensure that all KPI's are identified and executed by CSA's and all reviews are in adherence to NCE practices.
    • Always ensure the highest standard of customer service (for Market and Remote team).

    • Attend Sales DOR daily and ensure full visibility of the operations team and open order status for the entire ESAR Market.     • Co-ordinate and collaborate with CBM's, CFSC, Sales Director, Supply Chain Director, BEO's, Supply Chain teams and finance team in connection with month-end closure and ensuring the execution of the best estimate landing monthly.                                                   
    • Centre contact point of execution of month-end sales of the business to the operations team.
    • Ensuring full execution of all CSA functionality's including Billing, CRR, drivers, pricing, ex-factory, order fulfilment, master data, etc. in the O2C CoC functionality (for Market and Remote team).

    What will make you successful?

    • University Degree/ Diploma required
    • 5 years or more experience in leading teams in at least two of the following areas:
    • Customer Service/ or Call Centre.
    • Customer Facing Supply Chain
    • Demand & Supply Planning
    • Distribution/ Materials Handling
    • Sales and/ or Marketing
    • Transportation
    • Project management experience to implementation of major project(s) or change program(s)
    • Senior stakeholder management experience to CEO level

    Process Assistant

    A day in the life of a Process Assistant:

    • Follow the prescribed start up, shut down and operational procedures 
    • Ensure correct and accurate usage of dry raw materials
    • Monitor the running condition of the flour silos, tipping and flour mix transfer
    • Trouble shoot product and technical related issue related to raw materials transfer and mixing treatment operation
    • Assist Wet mix / LDE Operator in transfer of wet ingredients
    • Conduct condition monitoring of all the installation within the responsible area
    • Monitor magnet and rotary sieve finding
    • Visual inspection on the condition of raw materials used
    • Shut down raw materials preparation system as per SOP
    • Perform manual cleaning and rinsing of raw materials batching
    • Relief Wet Mix / LDE Operator during meal break
    • Performs change – over, cleaning / shutdown activities with associated dismantling & assembly.
    • Ensures compliance to personal safety, food safety & GMP requirements.
    • Actively participates in the conduct of trials of new products, equipment and processes.
    • Completion of full shift handover
    • Participate in ALL TPM activities
    • Supports safety programs, promotions and projects as promulgated by the safety officer and safety committee.
    • Perform other activities assigned by the Team Leader (i.e. Adapt to changes).
    • Change and maintain filters for the tipping hoppers and the raw material powder silos according to the set work instruction.
    • Ensure cost of production reduction by reducing rework and or sweepings generation                        

    What will make you successful?

    • Grade 12 with Math’s as an advantage
    • 1-2 years’ experience as a Process Assistant
    • Update SAM and align with SAP transaction
    • Understand all safety regulations and apply them within the Factory
    • Computer Literate (i.e. Excel and Word)

    Costing Specialist

    A day in the life of a Costing Specialist:
    Cash Flow & Continuous Improvement                                                                                                     

    • Participate in Market driven Projects when Product Costing contribution is required. Coordinate OPEX Savings.

    Analysis                                                                                                                                                                 

    • Act as a central contact point and liaison for all questions / issues in terms of Variance Analysis within the Factory's Cost of Production.
    • Ensure timely communication of targeted information to the relevant parties following period-end close   

    Reporting and Analytics                                                                                                                               

    • Coordinate and execute COGS forecasting within the Monthly Business Planning (MBP) process. 
    • Ensure transparency of Costs of Goods Sold within the Dynamic Forecast with adequate reporting. 
    • Ensure timely communication of quarterly COGS rates to the Business Unit Controllers. 

    Business Planning                                                                                                                             

    • Participate in business planning; participate in coordinating the SCB process with the factories. 
    • Be a contact point for questions / issues relating to material prices and master data (e.g. proc type, special proc type, purchase info record by subcontracting, price unit and costing lot sizes, all data from CV3 and CV4).

    Internal Controls                                                                                                                            

    • Ensure the proper application of new or updated Guidelines and its integration within the concerned Costing Processes. 
    • Development or update of costing functionalities, tools and solutions are properly tested and understood for all issues related to inventory valuation, subcontracting and co-manufacturing. Act as SPOC for these subjects.

    Knowledge Transfer                                                                                                                             

    • Promote clear understanding of costing processes both within the costing community and the Head office Finance community.                

    Compliance 

    • Ensure Nestle financial policies, Accounting Standards and Costing Standards are followed within the Costing Community.                                                                                                                                 

    What will make you successful?

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Honours Degree in Accounting or appropriate financial qualification. 
    • Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA (SA) or CIMA or ACCA) will be an added advantage.
    • Prior experience in Costing, ideally within a factory environment.
    • Fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry or manufacturing experience.
    • Experience within a network organization (internal and external providers).
    • Can effectively multitask with tight deadlines.
    • Effective communication & stakeholder engagement.
    • Strong analytical and critical thinking/problem solving abilities.

    Instrument Technician

    A day in the life of an Instrument Technician:

    • Carries out planned maintenance in allocated sections as instructed by Team Leader.
    •  Report all defects found and propose a remedial action.
    • Utilize trade skills in a professional manner, working cleanly, precisely and ensuring others that work with him/her does the same.
    • Complete and sign work sheets after completion of each task daily.
    • Complete the defect list and or check list as instructed by Automation Engineer.
    • Make sure that all instruments are calibrated, and an instrument a calibration system is updated after each calibration.
    • Make sure that all tags related to a particular instrument are displayed clearly and instruments are cleaned and in good order.
    • Attend to breakdowns and or assist Electrical or Mechanical on problem solving where needed.
    • Quick and efficient fault finding, think and perform under pressure. Regular feedback to Automation Engineer.
    • Make quick and healthy decisions based on critical and priority activities.
    • After completion of the repairs, test machine or equipment and communicate.
    • He/she is proactive and prevent breakdowns.

     What will make you successful?

    • Degree/Diploma in Instrumentation or N6 Instrumentation with Trade Test
    • 2 years’ experience as an Instrument Technician, preferably within the FMCG sector.
    • Good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Computer literate (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
    • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills. Attention to detail.
    •  Basic PLC programming
    •  Understand Nestle QMS; HACCP; NGMP.

    Trainee Team Leader

    A day in the life of a Trainee Team Leader:

    • Ensure the timely deployment of People development plan and assure the competencies of his/her team as per the agreed plan with PM (proper training inc. equipment, safety procedures, hygiene) Enforce strict compliance to standard operating procedures (SOPs) by all personnel within the shift.

    • Degree/Diploma in Food sciences, Chemistry or Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
    • 3 years or more experience in similar role.
    • Experience in FMCG will add as an advantage.
    • Demonstration of leadership ability by leading a project within a factory environment.
    • Demonstration of Leadership skills in positively confronting inappropriate behavior and using everyday coaching to ensure involvement of the workforce.
