    Data Analyst

    One of the largest businesses within the Sanlam Group, Sanlam Employee Benefits (SEB) specialises in the provision of risk, investment and administration services to institutions and retirement funds.     The need for data driven insights continues to grow exponentially in our organisation. Data has even more value if it is readily available, easily found, and easily re-usable for new applications.

    We are looking for an individual to build and develop the necessary knowledge and skills in our Individual Member Support team with the aim of gaining greater insights about our customers. This will include learning about data collection and preparation, automating procedures and implementing models with demonstrable business impact.

    Data preparation

    •     Processing, cleansing and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis
    •     Identify data sources and automate collection processes

    Analysis and model building

    •     Mine and analyse data to drive optimisation and improvement of product development and provide business insights
    •     Analyse large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
    •     Use predictive modelling to increase and optimise customer experiences, revenue generation & targeting and other business outcomes

    Stakeholder engagement

    •     Present information using data visualisation techniques
    •     Propose solutions and strategies to business challenges

    Implement and monitor

    •     Coordinate with various stakeholders to implement models and monitor outcomes
    •     Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyse model performance and data accuracy
    •     Document all processes to ensure continuity
    •     Produce reports for clients demonstrating insights gained from data

    Team effectiveness

    •     Collaborate with various stakeholders within the business
    •     Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems

    Qualifications

    •     Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or another quantitative field

    Knowledge And Experience

    •     2-3 years experience as a Data Analyst manipulating data sets and building statistical models
    •     Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages, e.g. SQL
    •     Experience manipulating (regression, scenario analysis, modelling, etc.), visualising and presenting data for stakeholder use.

    Personal Assistant

    rovide secretarial support to the Head of Marketing, Digital and Client Experience.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Office and diary management
    • Mail and information management
    • Travel arrangements
    • Organising and preparation of meetings; functions; presentations; conferences; workshops; satellite broadcasts, video conferences, etc.
    • Preparation of documents and the distribution thereof for the above
    • Minute taking
    • Consolidate and provide relevant reports
    • Support team members with all secretarial duties
    • Responsible for payments
    • Assist with ad hoc requests

    Qualifications, Knowledge And Skills

    • Matric with Secretarial diploma
       

    Experience

    • A minimum of 2 years secretarial / personal assistant experience
    • Experience in a marketing environment will be beneficial
    • Computer Literacy (MS office packages and Outlook)

    Broker Consultant

    This role will report to the Business Manager

    Your primary focus will be to work with brokers being the interface between themselves and Sanlam to reach business objectives in a dynamic, innovative and high performance business.This is a third party marketing role and the Broker Consultant markets and promotes Sanlam products to Brokers. The Broker Consultant seeks to build a trusting and partnering relationship that seeks to build new business opportunities; supports and up-skill Brokers with relevant information, tools and technologies that will enable them in their practice.
