    Director: Risk, Identity and Data Product Sales

    Job Description And Responsibilities

    • Increase Risk, Identity and Data products sales in the region, defining the pipeline and ensuring an adequate level of implementation capacity from partners to achieve the sales targets.
    • Come up with innovative sales approaches and drive the sales part of execution.
    • Interact with clients in the region and transform leads into implementation opportunities.
    • Drive engagements with clients and support during the implementation phases.
    • Lead discussions around the evolution of Risk and Data products in the region, ensuring innovation and response to clients’ needs.
    • Monitor the markets and work closely with the regional Risk Team to ensure our solutions are aligned and compliant with local regulations.
    • Track progress in terms of commercial targets and product scorecards.
    • Generate thought leadership around Risk, Identity and Data product solutions and drive the product agenda across the markets.
    • Coach, guide and mentor three direct reports.

    Qualifications

    • Post graduate degree or equivalent.
    • 7+ years’ experience in financial/fintech industries.
    • Sales and Client management skills.
    • Solid interpersonal skills, strong collaborator with the ability to effectively work cross-organizationally.
    • Digitally curious, follows industry trends and can utilize this exposure to provide compelling supporting information to Visa’s product, customer experience and digital recommendations.
    • Ability to drive decisions and operate in ambiguity.
    • Excellent communication skills.
    • Ability to travel across designated markets.
    • Self-directed and motivated.
    • Skilled in managing complex issues and work under pressure.
    • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Presentation skills.
    • Ability to develop executive level material and participate in discussions with senior leadership.

    Business Development Leader

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute short and long-term strategic plans for clients aligned to Visa’s South African market strategy
    • Develop and execute a set of objectives and goals for your portfolio of clients to increase your clients’ payment volume and revenue
    • Understand and articulate how Visa’s new payment tools and technologies will drive commercial value to your clients
    • Follow global industry and local market trends, bringing insight and value to your portfolio of clients
    • Identify, size, pitch for, and close new business opportunities by analyzing clients’ market positioning, product profile and strategy
    • Foster client-centric collaboration across Visa’s functional teams to ensure effective delivery of relevant payment solutions
    • Work with clients on ways to maximize profitability by offering advice on the development of target markets, product development, analytics and relevant best practice
    • Responsible for achieving or exceeding client satisfaction net promoter scores.

     Qualifications

    • 8+ years business experience with related sales and account management experience
    • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree education with focus on IT, Engineering or similar technical field, OR with focus on financial management, strategy, accounting, with Honours degree preferred
    • Preference for candidates with experience in retail or transactional banking, especially with card or payments experience.
    • However, talented candidates with account leadership experience from consulting or technology sectors will be considered.
    • Results oriented individual – gets results that have a clear, positive impact on business performance
    • Excellent verbal, analytical and written communications skills with the ability to establish effective relationships with all levels, including executive management
    • Excellent sales, account management, project management, presentation, strategic planning and budgeting skills
    • Commercial acumen and astuteness.
    • Self-starter with exemplary organizational and issue resolution management skills
    • Significant stakeholder management experience with a demonstrated ability to manage and grow cross functional relationships

    Senior Director, Business Development

    Job Scope

    • Execute short and long-term strategic plans for clients aligned to Visa's SA market strategy
    • Develop and execute a set of objectives and goals for assigned clients to increase Visa and client's sales volume and therefore revenue
    • Contribute to design and implementation of country strategy, by developing insights of client and market needs and advising on appropriate strategic and tactical responses
    • Understand and clearly articulate how Visa's new payment tools and technologies will drive commercial value to our clients
    • Follow global industry and local market trends, to package relevant insights and solutions to Visa's clients
    • Identify, size and close new business opportunities by analyzing client's market positioning, product profile and strategy, enabling Visa's functional teams to customise relevant solutions to fit identified needs
    • Work with clients and Visa functional teams on ways to maximize profitability by offering advice on the development of target markets, product development, analytics and relevant best practice
    • Evaluate competitive actions with respect to the local market and recommend appropriate action

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of Honours Degree required with focus on financial management, accounting, business strategy and/or economics.

    Experience Required

    • 6+ years of professional experience in retail or transactional banking. Direct card experience strongly preferred.Ability to demonstrate strong negotiation skills
    • Ability to demonstrate sound business judgment with long-term view
    • Strong analytical skills (ability to derive insight from data)
    • Excellent sales, account management, project management, presentation, strategic planning and budgeting skills.
