    Service Sales Manager

    Job description

    Responsibilities / Tasks

    • Manage sales of the company’s Service Product portfolio within the GEA Southern & Eastern Africa cluster.
    • Ensure consistent, profitable growth in sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of sales personnel.
    • Identify objectives, strategies and action plans to improve short- and long-term sales and earnings.

    Core Functions

    • Establishing and recommending the most realistic Service Sales goals for the company.
    • Create and support compilation of Customer’s Value Propositions.
    • Acquire and provide Potential Customer Mapping through Market Intelligence
    • Create Sales KPI’S, monitor agreed Deliverables and analyse KPI’s
    • Develop / implement/update (take ownership) of Service Sales Strategy Workbook within the overall Company strategy.
    • Manage an assigned geographic sales area/ product lines and types to maximize sales revenues and meet corporate objectives.
    • Establish and manage effective programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train sales personnel.

    Details Of Function

    • Perform sales activities on major accounts and negotiates sales price and discounts.
    • Manage personnel and develops sales and sales support staff.
    • Review progress of sales roles throughout the company relative to Service Sales.
    • Accurately forecast annual, quarterly and monthly revenue streams.
    • Develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all company’s Service Sales products.
    • Develop, implement, and report on sales tools to monitor results of sales staff’s productivity.
    • Coordinate company resources to ensure efficient and stable sales results.
    • Formulate all sales policies, practices and procedures within Service Sales.
    • Assists sales personnel in establishing personal contact and rapport with our customer’s top echelon decision makers.
    • Develop sales strategies to improve market share in all Service Sales product lines.
    • Interpret short- and long-term effects on sales strategies in operating profit.
    • Educate sales team by establishing programs/seminars in the areas of new account sales and growth, sales of emerging Service products and multi-product sales, profitability, improved presentation strategies, competitive strategies, proper use and level of sales support, management of expenses and business/financial issues on contracts.
    • Collaborate with Country Sales Marketing to establish and control budgets for Service sales promotions and if applicable trade show expenses.
    • Review expenses and recommends economies.
    • Hold regular meeting with sales staff.

    Reporting

    Reports directly to Service Director

    Qualifications

    • A university degree/Diploma in marketing or business studies is preferred;
    • or a minimum of seven years of related experience or training in food & beverage processing industry and related service sector;
    • or the equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
    • Problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret sales performance and market trend information.
    • Proven ability to motivate and lead the sales team.
    • Experience in developing marketing and sales strategies.
    • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills, plus a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
    • A valid driver’s license.
    • Available for extensive traveling.
