    Senior Associate 1

    About the role

    To provide superior assurance services  within the Service Delivery Centre (SDC) Africa team. The SDC provides audit support to audit teams across Africa on a remote basis.

    Essential skills and experience

    • 2 - 3 years related experience in a professional services environment
    • Strong planning, time management and  organisation skills
    • Work effectively under pressure and handle confidential matters with tact and professionalism
    • Pragmatic problem-solving approach
    • Good communication skills, verbal and written
    • Detail orientated and deadline driven
    • Punctual, flexible and responsive
    • Highly proficient in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

    Required qualifications

    A related tertiary qualification - Diploma or Degree: Accounting / Auditing / Internal Auditing or similar

    Desirable skills or attributes

    • Enthusiasm and passion to deliver exceptional client service
    • Good interpersonal and client liaison skills
    • Able to work independently and in a team
    • Meticulous
    • Strong work ethic

    Responsibilities

    • Perform more complex work requested by audit teams, e.g. AUP's, rolling forward audit files, performing tests of detail / tests of controls
    • Assist with the review of work performed by junior staff e.g. control logs, tests of details etc.
    • Assist with planning, execution and review of group deliverables management
    • Perform general auditing functions according to PwC methodologies including but not limited to: group deliverables, checking and casting of complex financial statements
    • Obtain, coordinate and summarise ISA 402 supporting documentation
    • Work within budget allocations and prepare basic budgets for amended requests
    • Coaching of junior staff members
    • General administration

    • Work within budget allocations
    • General administration

    • Good interpersonal and client liaison skills

    • Computer literate, preferably with all PwC’s software (internal only) and highly proficient in Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint);
    • IFRS and IFRS for SME's knowledge

    Required qualifications

    Relevant professional qualification, B Com degree and Articles

    Responsibilities

    • Reviewing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SME's

    Manager

    About the role

    The FSIIM Sunninghill division is currently recruiting for an Audit Manager with a strong auditing background. The ideal candidate will need to have experience on Large Clients in the industry. This candidate must be fully acquainted with the FSIIM (financial services, insurance and investment management) industry.

    Essential skills and experience

    18 months or more post article experience.

    Required qualifications

    CA(SA)

    • Specialist industry knowledge IFRS experience
