    Senior Human Resources Business Partner

    Job description

    Job Purpose

    The Senior HR Business Partner Talent is responsible for the design and maintenance of the methodology for the job profiling and job analysis. S/he is further responsible for the management of the development of policies, procedures, frameworks and guidelines for talent acquisition and management consistent with legislation, HR strategy and aligned and integrated with all other relevant projects, processes, practices and systems across the global organization. S/he is the subject matter expert supporting the BroadReach business and various HR specialists through the delivery of training interventions and change management practices to ensure adoption of best practice, standards and processes across all components of attracting, developing, and retaining talent.

    Qualifications and Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Science/Human Resources/Psychology/Business
    • Postgraduate qualification (honours/ degree) is preferable
    • 7 years overall Human Resources experience, with at least 5 years in a Talent Specialist role ideally with exposure to working in a global matrix organisation inclusive of:
    • Experience in corporate/agency recruitment in multiple discipline areas and levels, including hiring for leadership positions
    • In depth experience in job profiling
    • Experience in consulting, influencing, and partnering at a senior/executive level
    • Experience in relationship management at all levels of the organisation
    • Experience in the application of human resources process and policies
    • Experience in the development of talent management strategies and best practice
    • Experience in talent identification and development
    • Experience in the administration of assessment centers
    • Experience in vendor management
    • Experience in the initiation, implementation and management of EVP programs
    • Experience in Donor funding environment preferred

    Technical Knowledge and Skills Required

    General (pre-requisite)

    • Ability to deal with confidential information in an appropriate professional and timeous manner.
    • Ability to work on numerous dissimilar things concurrently.
    • Ability to apply processes and practices related to attracting, identifying and selecting top talent into positions that are vacant.
    • Ability to express ideas by means of clear and effective writing, in order to support professional communication internally within the organization and externally.
    • Ability to use language in a business context to clearly express ideas and transfer concepts to others.
    • Ability to handle queries effectively and formulate appropriate responses.
    • Ability and willingness to work in a high-pressure environment and accept the responsibility that comes with it.
    • Proficient knowledge of the use of the Internet and social media as a research and recruiting tool
    • Proficient knowledge of the operational and processing impacts of activities in the Human Resources function including system, process and operational impacts.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
    • Proficient numeracy skills

    Organisation (orientation/probation)

    • Proficient understanding of BroadReach divisional structure and stakeholders and where to source information
    • Proficient understanding of BroadReach's business model and structure across divisions and can articulate with accuracy BroadReach's vision, mission and culture
    • Ability to display high levels of emotional maturity in an environment with expressed and implied ethical responsibilities

    Role (foundational knowledge)

    • Ability to represent BroadReach as a brand ambassador and upholding the corporate identity, maintaining a professional approach to the presentation of work, including written, visual and interactive.
    • Insight and understanding of the BroadReach value proposition including the benefits and compensation landscape and ability to articulate such
    • Seasoned knowledge of Talent Attraction best practices and practical application in the healthcare, pharmaceutical and Information technology industry sectors
    • Knowledge of assessment methods and practices

    Changing knowledge requirements

    • Knowledge of labour relations legislative and regulatory framework and practices related to bargaining, negotiating and dispute resolution procedures, to enable administration and management of labour and procedural agreements
    • Knowledge of Donor/Funder regulations that impact the activities of human resources
    • Knowledge of BroadReach policies and procedures
