Job description
Key roles and responsibilities:

• Oversee and administer national polygraph process and policy
• Testify in Criminal/ Civil Court (Expert testimony District, Regional, High Court and Court of Appeal)
• Liaise with control prosecutors on criminal / civil matters
• Assist and administer Sting and specialised Operations
• Oversee and administer Operational Activities as requested by the Head: Critical Services
•  Assist Manager: Compliance and Investigations and Head: Critical Services with operational info as required
• Responsible for compliance, training, risk and project driven tasks as determined by the Head: Critical Services
• Administer back on Track Claims
• Oversee and physical security (Guards and Buildings)
• Oversee and administer Tracker Members to be registered according to the Act
• Coordinate monthly statements, statistical and compliance reports
• Administer all new training material as and when required
• Ensure and administer Tracker ORS members’ training on Criminal Procedures Act
• Administer legislative training (SAPS and Tracker)
• Oversee and administer all arrests made in accordance with the Act
• Administer Shooting incidents & investigations (Operational members, and incidents at Tracker)
• Administer Fire-Arm training as well as tactical firearm training interventions (Nationally)
• Administer Firearm Competencies (Nationally)
• Oversee and administer Firearm Permits
• Compliance Inspections and Record Keeping
• Oversee Camera and Access Control at Tracker HO and Tracker Pretoria
• VTT Training Manuals
• Administration regarding Firearm and Tactical Training including Regulation 21 Training
• Maintain positive relationships with all Industry Role Players (Law Enforcement, SABRRIC, SAVRALA, ICB, UNICODE, DAC)

Minimum requirements
Qualifications and experience required:

• Matric / Grade 12 or relevant RPL
• 3 years’ experience within the critical services industry / environment.
• Security industry or SAPS experience 
• The suitable candidate will have an above average knowledge of how the South African Police Service, Law Enforcement, Insurance Industry, Critical Services operates
• The suitable candidate will have an above average knowledge of how Tracker Operational Services operate.
• Above average knowledge of Criminal Law and the Criminal Procedure Act (Act 51 of 1977) is compulsory
• Above average knowledge of the Firearm Control Act (Act 60 of 2000) and Regulations is compulsory
• Knowledge of the PSIRA Act (Act 51 of 2001) and Regulations is compulsory
• Knowledge of the South African Police Act (Act 68 of 1995) and procedures
• The applicant must be in possession of a valid driver’s license
• Good communication skills are necessary, and the candidate must be able to speak, write and read English.  
• Proven above average computer literacy is compulsory
• PSIRA registration, Grade C
• Experience in testifying at criminal court proceedings.
