Registry Clerk: Logistical Services Ref No. DSD 74/2026 at Western Cape Social Development

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)

Key Performance Areas

• Provide registry counter services; Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence;
• Render an effective filing and record management service;
• Operate office machines in relation to the registry function; Process documents for archiving and/or disposal.

Competencies

• Knowledge of the following: Registry duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, and operate computer;  Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service;  Storage and retrieval procedures in terms of the working environment; Understanding of the work in registry;  Electronic records management / electronic content management systems, including scanning, indexing, filing and retrieval of records. 
• Skills in the following: Numeracy skills; Literacy skills; Computer literacy; Planning and organisation; Good verbal and written communication skills; Records Management / ECM system; Scanning and electronic document handling skills; Attention to detail in records capturing and filing; Ability to operate an Electronic Records Management / ECM system.
