    Fund Accountant

    Purpose of Job

    • Responsible for producing fund accounting and reporting on client investments.
    • Analysing and investigating reconciliation differences.
    • Assist with embedding knowledge, processes and procedures in the Fund Accounting and Reporting team.

    Portfolio Analyst (Risk & Performance)

    • Interrogate and analyse data to produce client reports. 
    • Interpret and analyse report results as input to the advisory services to the client. 
    • Safeguard the integrity of sensitive client data. 
    • Manually recalculate and verify statistics. 
    • Check reports generated by fellow analysts.

    Product Management Analyst

    Purpose of Job

    • Work with the Product Specialists to research, launch and manage the ongoing requirements for new and existing investment products and solutions.
    • Support the Risk and Performance Teams with set-up and ongoing reporting, with the expectation that this would fall away over time;

    Asset Allocation Analyst

    Purpose of Job

    To provide analysis and support to the asset allocation function.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assist and support market data output (market slides, SMS, RisCFlash, data queries etc) and the monthly investment pack.
    • Assist and support the generating of the model portfolios that target various client objectives (i.e., ZAR, USD, GBP, EUR etc.)
    • By using the ALM code, produce model portfolio outputs on a monthly basis for various client objectives. This includes producing outputs (via running of the ALM code) for all model portfolios.
    • Produce, support and give input to the (monthly) capital market assumptions formulation.
    • Assist and support the asset allocation function for current and prospective family office clients.
    • Prepare presentations consisting of investment and quantitative related output.
    • Assist with data and information for the TAA process.
    • Develop an understanding and research the market and risks with the aim of assisting with market commentary as well as the asset class views.
    • Data interrogation and analysis.
    • Assist on various ad-hoc projects as business requirements dictate.
    • Assist with meeting notes preparation, generation of packs.
    • Aid in improving processes including automation efforts to improve efficiencies.
    • Assist with research and provide input for published articles relating to asset allocation views.

    APPLICATION CRITERIA

    • Honours Degree (4-year) in either Finance, Investments, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Financial Risk Management.
    • Other tertiary qualifications depending on experience and evidence of quantitative abilities will be considered as well.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 1-2 years of experience in investment management, portfolio management, portfolio optimisation, asset allocation, or investment strategy experience.
    • A strong interest in financial markets and asset allocation. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (including MS Excel) and experience with using Matlab or other coding languages. Be comfortable with understanding, extracting and charting data from the Bloomberg Terminal. A Masters in discipline is advantageous.

    Receptionist / Frontline administrator

    Purpose of Job

    • Answer the switchboard and manage the reception area from 9am to 5pm.
    • Welcome and attend to visitors and deal with inquiries on the phone and face to face.
