    Sales Consultant - Pacing

    Job Description
    Summary Of Position

    The CRHF ( Cardiac Rhythm and Heart Failure) sales consultant is responsible to promote and support products within the Medtronic CRHF portfolio. This requires a thorough understanding of the clinical environment, the different therapies within cardiology and the devices that support these therapies.

    Main Job Duties/Responsibilities

    • Technical assistance to Cardiologists / Cardiac surgeons in theatre with pacemaker/ICD implant support
    • Technical assistance to Cardiologists during pacemaker follow up clinics
    • Developing the different therapies within the CRHF business and driving sales
    • Identifying customer training needs and developing appropriate training programs in collaboration with the Academia team
    • Supporting the Academia team during training courses
    • Seminar/conference attendance
    • Inventory management
    • Expense management
    • Sales Force management
    • Providing out of territory support to colleagues within the inland pacing team
    • Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to Safety, Health & Environmental, and Quality Assurance

    Job Qualifications

    Minimum required: Qualified Clinical Technologist specializing in Cardiology or similar

    Job Experience

    The individual must have experience working as a Clinical Technolgist or as a Sales representative in the cardiac device industry.

    APV Sales Rep - KZN

    Job Description
    Purpose: The Endovascular Representative will manage the business and growth by promoting, selling and supporting Medtronic Aortic, Peripheral and Endovenous products and services. You will be expected to meet and exceed individual annual sales objectives.

    Summary of major responsibilities / key performance areas are as follows:

    • Conduct sales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic Systems and services to existing and potential doctors
    • Implement quarterly sales plan and achieve sales goals and objectives.
    • Educate doctors and conduct in-service training to theatre staff.
    • Provide product and technical support and service to Vascular Surgeons, Interventional Radiologists, Cardiothoracic Surgeons, General Surgeons and Fellows.
    • Fiscally manage territory by controlling expenses, product inventory and consignment.
    • Build and maintain relationships with theatre staff and surgeons to establish a solid base of business.
    • Complete administrative reporting as assigned (for example: expense reports, sales activity reports, account profiles and analysis).
    • Be available after hours and on weekend for Aortic and Peripheral cases for KZN if and when required.

    Summary of qualities, qualifications and skills that are minimum requirements for the position:

    • Computer literacy skills (Microsoft Office)
    • Solid knowledge of the Medical Reimbursement climate.
    • Three years’ medical sales experience specifically in the Peripheral Vascular field.
    • Experience in developing new, innovative markets.
    • Demonstrable success in previous employment indicated by high level of sales performance.
    • Experience calling on surgeons in the peripheral field.
    • Solid job skills in business administration, business planning/consulting and territory financial analysis.
    • Excellent customer service, responsiveness skills; interpersonal, communication (oral and written), report writing; negotiation skills; ability to handle and resolve conflict situations; team oriented; conceptual/consultative sales skills; time and stress management skills; quality oriented; cultural awareness.
    • Logical thinking and reasoning skills; works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors; accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Exercises judgment within generally defined practices and policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Must successfully complete sales training.
    • Must be insurable and maintain a valid driver’s license.
    • Well groomed to represent the company’s professional image; ethical, ability to maintain confidentiality; reliable.
