    Junior Work Package Controller

    Job Purpose

    • Supports WPCs in controlling and financial reporting of Work Packages in accordance with internal control rules and ensures project accounting is in accordance with Company guidelines and ensure consistency with project teams.
    • Provides financial analysis, advices and guidance to support the project team in making the best business decisions for the project.

    Performance Measurement:

    • Ensure accuracy and quality of Costs data.
    • Respect of GIBELA rules & processes
    • Quality of variance analysis
    • Reporting is accurate and on time

    Accountabilities:

    • Works closely with WPC
    • Works closely with Project Controller
    • Site Controller
    • Project Team

    Responsibilities

    • Obtains all financial and accounting data related to the Work Packages allocated.
    • Checks the accuracy of the data accounted for on the Work Package
    • Presents all financial data in a transparent way.
    • Assists with analysis and reconciliation on allocated Work Packages.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS
    Education / Qualifications

    • Finance or Accounting degree

    Experience

    • Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a project office

    Repair Operator-Preventive x2

    The purpose of the role:

    Diagnose problems in malfunctioning equipment, determine the faulty part, and then decide if it can be fixed or to be replaced. Perform repair and overhaul operations, refurbishment in the repair centre, assemble finished product and inspect product to ensure high quality standards. Operate, tend, stop, and clean machines, execute dynamic storage maintenance tasks. Realise level 1 and 2 maintenance tasks on special and standard tools in all facilities.

    Requirements

    • Technical Certificate in the manufacturing field (mechanical, pneumatic or electrical)
    • Millwright Certified will be an added advanage
    • Minimum experience of 2 years in the maintenance or production field, preferably in the railway industry
    • Ability to read and understand drawings, use schematics and test specifications
    • Previous working knowledge of Health & Safety standards
    • Ability to execute the work autonomously
    • Ability to Coach Others and occasionally share skills/information to others
    • Self-Motivated  and inspired by the job in hand

    Responsibilities:

    • Track  and clean assemblies to be tested / repaired
    • Mechanical disassemble the products
    • Execute maintenance tasks on sub-system products, tools and equipment
    • Operate production equipment
    • Ensure conformance to specifications
    • Fill of all necessary documents. Schematics, Fabrication drawings, etc.
    • Ability to make repair or scrap decision
    • Identify and cross reference components.
    • Organise and store components replacement and assemblies.
    • Ensure validity and certification of relevant tools
    • Populate relevant maintenance and repair follow-up in the data base
    • Guarantee information flow within the repair team
    • Perform quality self-control
    • Monitor the production process and carrying out basic testing and quality checks
    • Clean and maintain work areas and machinery in good state
    • Propose new or improved ways or working that will enable the Teams to improve their efficiency or the safety of their work
    • Undertake other duties as specified by the Repair Centre Manager
    • Carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as laid down by legislation and the Company Health  Safety policies.
    • Read reports and manuals as and when required.
    • Report accidents/incidents, and the work done to validate or maintain the tools.
    • Drive company vehicles when required and applicable

    ED Local Content Manager

    Responsibilities:

    • ED performance
    • Co-ordinate localization related activities with sourcing
    • Analyse local content sourcing strategies
    • Support the development and analysis of the BOM
    • Keep record and pictures of suppliers before and after localisation (eg. if a supplier has committed to upgrading the manufacturing facility)
    • Support the management of the supplier’s commitments database, update on regular basis the implementation progress, highlight short comings, produce strategic overview enabling proper anticipation
    • Support the monthly visits to all strategic suppliers, to monitor and report on Local content commitments implementation progress;
    • Map the train to show the local content per component
    • Support monthly ED reporting

    Requirements:

    • B Com or other relevant qualification
    • Strong data analysis experience
    • Advanced MS Office and MS Project skills
    • Reporting experience
    • Project management and B-BBEE would be an advantage

    Economic Development (ED) Controller

    Purpose of the Job:

     The ED Controller will be responsible for managing the preparation, consolidation and execution of Economic Development Reporting (Local Content and B-BBEE) including management of Supplier B-BBEE Economic Development performance reporting and audits

    Measurement (Key Performance Indicators)

    • On -time delivery of quality reports to internal and external stakeholders
    • Feedback from internal and external stakeholders
    • On-time completion of B-BBEE audit and achievement of compliance level 2 and above
    • Full programmed management of Local Content Reporting and supplier-BBBEE audits
    • Submission of accurate B-BBEE and Local Content report data in line with agreed timelines
    • Management of Local Content and B-BBEE related risk

    Responsibilities

    • Obtain understanding of ED contractual commitments i.e. Local Content and Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment
    • Refine and improve the tool for efficiency and find more efficient ways of obtaining valid and accurate data to place reliance on to ensure quality assurance of the ED Tool data in line with the contract interpretation and B-BBEE Codes.
    • Establish ED reporting process to support monitoring and reporting of ED commitments. Lead reporting meetings and highlight reporting issues and mitigation plan.
    • Coordinate the timely submission of progress reports by internal and external users and data.
    • Assure robust forecast is available for all ED dimensions monthly.
    • Generate qualitative and quantitative monthly reports on ED commitments. Analyse the data to ensure completeness and accuracy of data.
    • Lead the ED audits on BBBBEE and Local Content for B-BBEE compliance and Customer audit compliance.
    • Cost forecasting and compliance with latest standards
    • Ensuring the overall responsibility for ED Processes
    • Support the development of systems to pull information as required for the purpose of finance related ED reporting
    • Manage the backlog of information required on historical Local Content data.
    • Forecast cash and cost spend for the ED department and monitor the actuals against the forecast.
    • Set up a monthly reporting work package review to report back to ED team
    • Manage the quantification of Local Content and B-BBEE risk and opportunities, including engaging with internal departments on risk assumptions and mitigation plans.
    • Provide ED training to employees when required e.g., induction etc.
    • Engage with suppliers and support understanding and interpretation of ED contractual commitments and the reporting requirements of each supplier
    • Manage the supplier B-BBEE audits and report to Sourcing on audit outcomes and required actions to mitigate risk.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

    • Matric
    • Commercial degree (CIMA/Accounting/Auditing qualification)
    • Data analysis experience
    • Advanced MS Office
    • Advanced excel modelling skills
    • Reporting and Project Management experience
    • Knowledge of B-BBEE

    RELATED EXPERIENCE:

    • Experience Level: At least 4 years’ experience in accounting/ auditing role, experience with B-BBEE and Local Content
