    Senior Specialist: Mpesa IP Network

    Role Purpose

    The Senior Specialist: Mpesa IP Network role based within International Business.
    The Network Engineer Authority provides expert knowledge, planning, designing and optimising the network and driving effectiveness and efficiency through harmonisation and standardisation. The Network Engineer Authority focusses on delivery of Network Engineering activities in response to business needs and in alignment with the Vodafone Strategy. Typically reports to Senior Network Engineering Manager.

    Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • To understand and document the essential components of core networks provided by Vodafone Group and Vodacom
    • Group between our MPesa OPCO’s, and their associated change control processes and SLA’s.
    • Effect network changes either hands on, through change process or by directing others
    • Test and sign off network changes performed for projects.
    • Understand network availability and performance monitoring and ensure that best practice is applied in these areas to
    • ensure the continuity and safety of Mpesa services


    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Matric
    • 3 Year relevant Degree or Diploma
    • CCIE Certification preferred
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
    • Deep knowledge of Internet and IP/MPLS Network technology. Specifically, Broad and deep technical knowledge of the


    Following As a Minimum

    • MPLS (LDP, RSVP, fast re-route, Segment Routing), BGP, ISIS, OSPF, Ethernet (inc. QoS & OAM), L2 & L3 VPNs IPQoS,
    • BNGs, IP Multicast, PPP, L2TP, 3rd Party Ethernet & broadband access products, MEF services (E-LAN, E-tree , ELine.),
    • Internet peering & transit, RIPE,IPv6 and NFV.
    • Architectural skillset in IP/MPLS technologies and services. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Demonstrable security best practice awareness across service provider IP/MPLS domains.
    • Familiar with Traffic and KPI indicators on IP/MPLS Networks
    • Understanding of key IP/MPLS operational and/or IP/MPLS network design requirements.
    • Good back ground on Hw and Sw characteristics and lifecycle, in depth understanding of features and how they work in
    • real environment
    • Familiar with Traffic and KPI indicators on IP Networks.

    Manager: Learning and Development - Techonology

    Role Purpose

    The Manager: Learning and Development - Technology role based within HR Business Unit.
    The role of the Manager: Learning and Development (TECHNOLOGY) is to build sustainable, strategic capabilities to support the delivery of the Vodacom Group (Including International Business) strategy & priorities, whilst ensuring the engagement and commitment of all senior stakeholders is achieved. Define, lead and deliver on critical capability work streams aligned to Vodacom Group capability strategy and priorities, and provide expertise to key business areas and stakeholders.     Your Responsibilities Will Include

    • To manage the team in delivering the “best in class Learning and development function (analyse, design, develop, provide solutions)
    • Define, design and ensure the delivery of critical capability (per BU) priorities aligned to the Vodacom and BU strategy
    • To source and manage external suppliers, where necessary, including SLA’s.
    • To provide monthly data on the Learning and Development function per Business Unit
    • Ensure significant ROI for all capability programmes within business area
    • Responsible for the roll out of agreed programs, aligned to WSP and BBBEE score card within the budget allocated to the BU for training


    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • 3-5 Years experience within the Technology environment including at least 3-4 years in L&D and training

    Programme Manager: PMO

    Role Profile

    The Programme Manager: PMO position is based within the Commercial Business Unit.
    This role will be responsible for ensuring that client programmes are planned, coordinated and communicated in a professional manner, keeping client stakeholders regularly informed of progress, and ensuring that all stakeholder expectations are managed and that client commitments are consistently met.

    Strategy
    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Liaise and work with the various stakeholders and Business Unit Executive Heads to align the objectives/outcomes of assigned programme with the Business Units overall strategy and goals.


    Pre-Sales Engagement & Project Planning

    • Engage in Sales opportunities well in advance of contract signature to ensure thorough capture of client requirements and hold a project kick-off as early as possible.
    • Prepare and deliver client programme plan to ensure accurate expectations are set and advise clients of any critical project milestones.


    Programme Management

    • Provide professional end-to-end Programme Management for Clients.
    • Apply & assure end-to-end Project Methodology and ensure high quality results.
    • Lead the virtual project team (as the overall primary point of contact) throughout a Client Programme lifecycle and ensure that all key milestones are met.
    • Ensure that programme delivery activities are coordinated between the Client, Sales account team, and internal groups.
    • Effectively manage programme budget.
    • Ensure that a clean hand-over to the Client at the close of each programme is facilitated.
    • Client Communication & Stakeholder Management
    • Capture client business priorities, critical information & agree programme plan.
    • Ensure that service activations are scheduled & facilitated with the client.
    • Coordinate, host and attend virtual team meetings with clients, account teams, and internal groups.
    • Proactively provide status update of progress reports, highlighting Risks, Actions, Issues &/or Dependencies (written & verbal as appropriate).
    • Provide programme dashboard reports to key internal & client stakeholders


    Manage Risks, Actions, Issues & Dependencies

    • Assess, record & mitigate risks / dependencies against programme on-time delivery, quality &/or budget
    • Lead cross functional teams to take preventative (& corrective) action on any programme related issues and escalate as required to ensure client requirements and due dates are met.
    • General, Support and Administration
    • Ensure that programmes are documented to a high standard, communicated and agreed with the client according to the Project Management Standards and the contract.
    • Ensure that NPS Client surveys are initiated at the completion of each project.
    • Provide Programme Management expertise to the Account team & Client to ensure the delivery of a professional Project Management Service throughout the Programme Delivery.
    • Ensure that accurate system records and reports are maintained


    Communication

    • Communication is a key responsibility for the role as it will need to work closely with clients, and various stakeholder to track progress and provide updates on any changes in strategy or priorities.
    • The role will also entail reporting to Senior Management on the progress of individual projects and the overall program.
    • Compile and communicate portfolio rep orts as agreed with stakeholders.
