    Key Performance Areas:

    • Preparation, conducting of lectures, tutorials, workshops, and seminars;
    • Providing study guidance, learning support, consultation and mentoring of students;
    • Initiation and development of module materials, including on-line and web-based materials;
    • Marking and grading of student assessments;
    • Module coordination and quality assurance;
    • A range of administrative functions connected to the discipline and modules being taught;
    • Involvement in relevant committees, workshops, task groups and other activities;
    • Other duties commensurate to the position as required.

    Other Job Requirements:

    • Demonstrated capability to lecture, conduct tutorials and seminars at tertiary level in an effective manner in the core courses stipulated at the highest academic level;
    • Expertise in e-learning programs such as Blackboard and Moodle;
    • Up-to-date knowledge of curriculum areas being taught at the highest academic level;
    • Demonstrated capacity to design, set and evaluate assessments at the appropriate level for the courses stipulated;
    • High level of communication skills in verbal, written and electronic modes; and
    • Proven high-level administrative abilities.

    Minimum Education Requirements:

    • Master's degree in the specified discipline/s. Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) would be highly advantageous.

    Minimum Experience Requirements:

    • At least 3 years lecturing experience in a similar higher education role at a tertiary institution.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Presentation Target

    Senior Credit Controller (National) - Midrand

    Duties and Responsibilities:

      Administration/Collections/Handovers   

    • Supervise allocated Credit Control Team (comprising of credit controllers and senior credit controllers), monitor performance and ensure fair and proper allocation of accounts on a regular basis.
    • Support Debtors Manager in ensuring the Credit Control Team achieves Monthly Target and take ownership for driving activities to ensure targets are achieved.
    • Support Debtors Manager with regards to tracking team performance and implementing appropriate measures that will shift performance in a positive direction. This will include ongoing training and coaching for all credit controllers and senior credit controllers and report back to debtors manager.
    • Assistance with allocation of payments and other other administrative functions performed by either the credit controllers, senior credit controllers or Debtors Manager as and when the need arises. Attend to additional adhoc administrative duties as and when required.
    • Monitor queries received through various platforms (email, helpdesk, IIE Assist) and ensure allocated and escalated to relevant team member for quick and speedy resolution. Ensure that queries resolved as far as possible within 48 hours or that customer receives an update at least within 24-48 hours.
    • Assist and support Campus Senior Credit Controller with admin related activities (I.E Credit Balances/Debit Orders).
    • Send out SMS and letters on behalf of team on a weekly/Monthly basis.
    • Assist with difficult accounts escalated by Credit Control Team.
    • Review suspended and handover accounts escalated by Credit Control Team. Changing of account statuses in bulk on Excalibur and sending files to Debtors Manager to review and approve.
    • Evaluate accounts and update status accordingly. This refers to allocated accounts as well as team accounts.
    • Collect on allocated book as and when required to achieve monthly collection target.
    • Negotiate and maintain payment arrangements and document Acknowledgement of Debt (signed off by Debtors Manager).
    • Ensure required call output target is achieved (20-30 Quality calls daily). Monitor team weekly call logs and address performance gaps with Credit Control Team.
    • Place hold on debtors portal when accounts are in arrears.
    • Consumer Profile Bureau-Tracing.

    Customer Service

    • Communicates with internal departments as and when required in order to maintain an accurate position on students account.
    • Build sustainable relationships and trust with students/account payers through open and interactive communication. Ensure that team are operating at acceptable level in terms of email and call etiquette and with a customer service focus.
    • Handle account payers complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives.

      Quality Management & Reporting

    • Debit order management (send out SMS for rejections if necessary and check if transactions are posted correctly).
    • Check and approve special arrangements. Acknowledgment of debt to be reviewed to ensure amounts and term is correct.
    • Monitoring collection process (Detailed notes on account, holds on aged accounts, call output and quality).
    • Accurate allocations - sending weekly report Debtors Manager highlighting any missed allocations/incorrect allocations.
    • Providing feedback on credit balances, suspensions/handovers received from team each month to Debtors Manager.

    Competencies Required:

    Facilities Coordinator - Sandton

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Building Maintenance and Venue Set Ups

    • Performs regular inspections to assess campus maintenance needs.
    • Takes ownership of the campus asset tagging for the asset register.
    • Compiles a maintenance plan based on maintenance requirements and priorities.
    • Receives maintenance requests from the relevant stakeholders and assesses the issues and requests raised and determines an appropriate course of corrective action.
    • Schedules maintenance work that needs to be done and inspects the completed work to ensure that it was done to the required standard.
    • Performs proactive maintenance to prevent damage and wear and tear occurring to campus grounds and buildings.
    • Logs and prioritises issues raised and provides a date / time that it will be addressed.
    • Arranges and manages the process of lecture room or facility set ups for lectures and functions etc.
    • Completes and submits purchase orders for maintenance costs.
    • Compiles the weekly report detailing maintenance carried out or any issues that may have occurred during the reporting period.

    Oversight of External Service Providers

    • Sources Service providers for specific campus maintenance, security and hygiene needs and negotiates the required Service Level Agreements (SLA's) with the selected Service Providers in collaboration with management.
    • Checks all Service Providers health and safety compliance and manages non-compliance.
    • Supervises all external service providers to ensure that they are meeting the agreed SLA requirements, including but not limited to: Security, Canteen, Landscaping, Cleaners, Hygiene, Ad Hoc - Air Conditioners, Surveillance Cameras etc.
    • Monitors service providers SLA's on an on-going basis and addresses any non-compliance directly with the relevant service provider management member/s.
    • Schedules preventative maintenance provided by service providers.
    • Oversees onsite building, renovations and changes to layouts as provided by service providers.

    Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS)

    • Ensures that fire equipment is maintained in line with safety regulations and requirements.
    • Performs weekly, monthly and quarterly inspections in line with Group Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements.
    • Receives and reviews all campus incident reports and sends them to the National Business Development Manager detailing what happened and how it was dealt with including any action taken to address any risks identified if applicable.
    • Schedules maintenance for cameras and alarm systems to ensure that these systems are always in good working order.
    • Tests alarms monthly in line with insurance compliance requirements.
    • Holds the role of the campus Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) representative and manages the EHS file for the campus in line with Group Policies and Procedures and legislative requirements.
    • Receives daily lock up report once check lists has been done, e.g. ensuring all lights are off, air conditioners off, checklist adhered to every night.
    • Oversees all campus EHS audits and ensures that the audit results are maintained at the highest levels.
    • Reviews and tracks EHS committee training requirements on an ongoing basis to ensure that there are always trained committee members available on campus and arranges training for committee members with registered training service providers as and when required.
    • Ensures compliance with all EHS policies and procedures on campus and performs all EHS reporting duties.
    • Oversees the campus EHS Committee, compiles all EHS committee meeting agendas and action reports and ensures that the committee members all perform the duties required of them.
