KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Plan the efficient use of space in the flammable and general stores. Ensure adequate stock level by placing orders for laboratory consumables timeously.
• Create a schedule for stock taking and Cardex system audits. Control access to the flammable and general stores. Control the issuing and receiving of stock.
• Control the delivery of gases. Receive goods /supplies into the stores and check delivery against the purchase order and the delivery note.
• Acknowledge receipt supplies by signing the delivery note and stamping for chemicals received. Accept internal order from staff and check against physical stock. Count stock quantities and record items that are below the re-order level. Capture stock movements into CARDEX system. Request quotations through Supply chain processes.
• Create a reservation on SAP and arrange for the collection of stock. Update system on a daily basis when issuing and receiving stock.
• Ensure cleanliness in the flammable and general stores. Ensure stock is packed correctly. Undertake quality audits according to the quality audit schedule. Investigate root causes of non-conformances and implement corrective action within stipulated timelines. Compliance to OHS Act.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Grade 12(NQF 4)
• 2 Years of stores experience
• Knowledge of SAP and LIMS

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage the provision of all continuous water and sanitation service to the public throughout the allocated depot area. In close consultation with UFW Department ensure that unaccounted for water is kept to an acceptable minimum by managing all leaks and repairs. Ensure that all relevant records are kept for the entire Depot.
• Manage the installation, replacement, and testing of water meters to ensure compliance with National and Johannesburg Water standards. Direct the development of a preventative maintenance programme for the entire water and sewer reticulation system – including large valves PRV’s and outfall sewers served by the depot area.
• Responsible for the efficient management of complains received. In conjunction with the Ops managers manage the response times. Interpret, and advise the Regional Manager on public needs, concerns and criticism in relation to the functional responsibility of the region.
• Plan, propose and implement pro-active measures and response to public needs. Consult stakeholders in respect of functional areas of region. Co-ordinate and advice the Regional Manager on all matters relating to water and sanitation services.
• Attend Regional service delivery meetings and ensure that decisions taken are being implemented and resolved. Ensure sound labour relations practices and management of discipline. Manage personnel in accordance with Johannesburg Water policies and legislation.
• Ensure the implantation of performance management as per the policy. Assist with the preparation of the operating budget. Ensure cost efficient use of materials. Ensure compliance with the OHSACT and Johannesburg Water policies and procedures.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• National Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (NQF 6)
• 5 years’ experience in water & sanitation operations of which 3 years must be at managerial level
• Valid Drivers’ License (Code EB)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and maintain the Job Grading Committees Terms of Reference, render advice with regards to job evaluation, job profiling for Grading Committee, facilitate the development of job descriptions, implement, and manage an electronic database of grading requests.
• Contribute towards the design of a compensation package based on business goals and strategy, create a consistent compensation guideline that matches the company’s work and organizational culture, ensure that compensation practices are following current laws and regulations.
• Conduct salary and labour market research to define benchmarks, conduct ongoing research into emerging trends, issues and best practices underlying the rendering of renumeration services, conduct research in preparation of remuneration projects.
• Serve as a point of contact between JW and the successful service provider company regarding job evaluation/grading, apply effective communication strategies to maintain a positive working relationship with various stakeholders throughout the remuneration industry.
• Establish good relationships with internal and external stakeholders to build a wide and effective network of contacts, interact with representatives from consultant companies in the field of remuneration related matters, investigate internal queries relating to salary issues and provide timeous feedback.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• National Diploma in HR.
• 3 years’ experience in HR, Remuneration and Job evaluation/Grading.
• Experience in SAP HR and MS Office packages. 44
