    Senior Actuarial Specialist

    Job Description

    • To apply a winning and fit-for-purpose pricing/monitoring and analysis functionality that supports the growth and profitability across all product sets.
    • Development; maintenance and control of pricing structures ensuring key underwriting/financial metrics within the business plan are achieved.
    • Apply the control cycle for all pricing actuarial work:
    • Collect & analyse, build models, implement, monitor, refine.
    • Deploy and test pricing models
    • Collect data for all actuarial work
    • Apply actuarial / statistical techniques for pricing.
    • Build and maintain rate and test models
    • Provide input into the rate engine /Black box design specifications.
    • Build models to profit test new products as well as changes to existing products
    • Monitor trends and advise business accordingly.
    • Design and implementation of corrective actions into the business.
    • Compile the Monitoring pack for EXCO ensuring that insights are provided.
    • Provide Ad hoc analytical support and in-depth investigations for actuarial purposes e.g. (Claims; CPI, Procurement), SIU / Fraud.
    • Compile Portfolio Management reports for entire division
    • Contribute to the setting of parameters for the budgeting and business planning cycle
    • Contribute to specialised analytical assignments and projects where required
    • Assist with data collection and analysis for Group Schemes and UMA’s
    • Provide support to Operations as required.

    Relationship Manager: East Coast-5

    Job Description

    • Manage the broker / intermediary relationship to meet growth and profitability targets across multiple products and solutions for a portfolio of clients. Support the delivery and execution of an excellent individual and / or corporate client experience.Build and maintain relationships with Brokers / Intermediaries 
    •  Identify innovative methods to maximise broker / intermediary solution sales opportunities within the client portfolio.
    •  Manage the broker / intermediary solutions embedded with a client and ensure that optimum business flows from the solution.

    •  Manage the implementation of operating procedures as well as monitor the quality, service standards and operational processes related to the applicable product or solution.
    •  Collaborate with broker / intermediaries to facilitate multi-product training interventions to create awareness regarding the processes and operational aspects of the different products.
    •  Make recommendations to improve client service and fair treatment of clients within area of responsibility.

    Head: Business Performance Partnering

    Job Description

    • Ownership of the strategic relationship within/ across the Business Units (BUs) within OMI, to establish a partnership, deliver strategic financial services and information to optimise the financial performance of the BU. This role supports BU decision making and contributes to business change through other managers and their teams over periods of up to three years.
    • Critical objectives and responsibilities

    Ownership of the strategic business performance partnering relationship within/across the BU’s within OMI.

    • Guides financial health of BU(s) in OMI, and manages strategic relationships across the BUs.
    • Supports strategic management activity, by developing analytics and business insight into segment value add opportunities and issues.
    • Contributes to decision making in respect of major investment proposals/ business cases, and develop financial strategies.
    • Understands BU’s value chain and ways to improve/enhance value.
    • Proactively supports business change, and accountability for major change initiatives to improve the financial performance of the relevant BU.
    • Manages financial performance, BU-level expense controls, and the production of BU financial reports.
    • Analyses the reports to ensure accuracy of information and advice, and accountability for the results, commentary, and integrity of information and recommendations.
    • Negotiates relationships and contracts with service delivery partners, to improve the effectiveness of the Business Partnering function, identify service requirements, and monitor delivery (and fees and exceptions) against SLAs.
    • Coaches and educates BUs on finance related activity and use of tools.
    • Facilitates understanding of the financial & non-financial results of the business operations.
    • Acts as the voice of the client to the Finance community, and exerts influence to ensure delivery of strategic business partnering support.
    • Supports continuous improvement opportunities and development in Finance.
    • Reviews and approves financial information and delivery to appropriate quality standards.
    • Coaches team to ensure delivery of effective strategic partnerships with BUs, and on technical considerations to optimise service provision.
