- Content generation, editing and copywriting as and when required including:
- Client communications for both the Institutional and Personal Investments business

JOB SPECIFICATION
Core Focus of this Role:
The successful candidate will lead the validations team who are responsible for checking client/adviser instructions, contacting client/advisers for outstanding documentation and then submitting the instructions for processing. These instructions cover all of Coronation’s Personal Investment products:
- local unit trust, tax-free unit trust, offshore unit trust,
- endowment, living annuity, retirement annuity & preservation retirement funds.
The role requires a passion for exceptional service delivery, a strong sense of ownership and responsibility for service exceptions and a solid understanding of the client and financial impacts of administration failures.
The team leader carries the responsibility of embedding processes and controls across the client service & validations teams to ensure mitigation of identified risks and the measurement of the effectiveness of those controls.
Details of the Role:
Main duties and responsibilities:
People management:
- Leading a team of 18 staff members, ranging from newly qualified graduates to senior/experienced team members.
- Manage staff resource allocation, rotation and backup.
- Bi-annual performance appraisals and setting of objectives for individual team members’ development.
- Recruit appropriate candidates to fill team member vacancies.
- Deputize for the Client Services Manager and/or Client Services
- Team Leader where necessary.
Client facing/relationship management:
- Handle escalations of existing client/adviser queries as far as validation process is concerned.
- Manage the day to day relationship with Coronation’s outsourced administrator (Intembeko) and their resultant outputs.
Technical knowledge:
- Ensure Coronation’s products and related processes comply with the relevant legislation: CISCA, Long-term Insurance Act, Pension Fund Act, FAIS, Income Tax Act and FATCA/CRS.
Process and controls:
- Implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of processes, controls and service level delivery.
- Maintain process documentation and individual/team training where necessary.
- Authorize backdated, high risk, s14 & s37 forms, and/or subjective transactions.
- Investigate suspicious transactions and suggest process improvements to reduce fraud risk.
- Monitor and identify enhancements to transactional forms and on boarding channels.
- Provision of management reporting and statistics.
Other:
- Ad hoc project involvement with regard to testing and upgrading of internal systems.
Person Specification:
Ideal experience (all of the following will be considered):
- At least 5 years’ experience in Unit Trust, LISP and/or retirement & life product administration experience.
- Managing of workflow and document storage applications.
- Day to day leading a team of between 8 and 20 people.
Ideal qualifications:
- A completed Bachelor’s Degree (strong in Investment Management subjects/knowledge an advantage)
