    Support Assistant - Somerset West

    The responsibilities of this job include, but are not limited to the following:

    General assistance and labour (80%):

    • Loading and offloading of products, including heavy lifting and carrying
    • Deliveries and collections if and when required
    • General housekeeping and space  management / ordering / arrangement
    • General support assistance to technicians
    • Preparing products for collection
    • Accepting/receiving products at delivery
    • Packaging and packing of products and parts

    Admin (20%):

    • General admin assistance
    • Stock and parts management assistance and coordination
    • Stock take and stock control assistance

    Requirements Include: 

    • Matric 
    • Any tertiary qualification would be advantageous
    • Relevant administration and general experience
    • Drivers License 
    • Forklift license will be highly advantageous

    Financial Controller (CA)

    Responsibilities may include the following functions however not all functions will be assigned to the position although proficiency in all is required:

    • Reviewing and developing internal controls, financial systems, and company policies 
    • Reviewing costs structures and management practices of the organization and identifying areas for change and improvement 
    • Relentless drive on cost reduction.
    • Monitoring of financial performance and efficiencies.
    • Increasing management understanding of financial issues through being an advocate of the value linking financial and operational information for decision making purposes.
    • Assisting with queries in the Financial Division
    • Working capital management, including daily monitoring of cashflow, timely collection of debtors, with focus on reducing debtors’ days and managing creditors payments and associated reconciliation with focus on cost control
    • Ad hoc Projects
    • Any other financial reports or reconciliations as requested.
    • Completing General Ledger reconciliations
    • Pricing and Profitability Analysis: Evaluating pricing structures and analyzing product profitability
    • Preparing budgets and forecasts
    • Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
    • Managing financial queries from Divisional Managers
    • Assisting with the preparation and coordination of the audit process
    • Preparing monthly Management Reports
    • Presenting financial results in person to Divisional and Branch Managers on a regular basis
    • Conducting and reporting on business case analysis
    • Preparing of Annual Financial Statements for statutory entities
    • Responsible for all TAX/VAT related queries from SARS for the Group
    • Compiling accurate supporting documentations for submission
    • Reviewing insurance contracts and taking control of Group insurance administration.
    • Performing various internal audit procedures as required.
    • Assisting with Tender calculations and Pricing files.
    • Assisting the Company Secretary with compliance related matters.

    Skills and Capabilities required: 

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential
    • Positive Attitude
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills is essential
    • Working independently with little supervision and taking initiative in daily tasks
    • Computer literacy, strong IT Skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
    • Willingness and ability to take on additional tasks and responsibilities as and when required
    • Commitment to continuous learning and self-development.
    • Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with senior management and customers

    Qualifications and Experience required: 

    • Registered CA or equivalent
    • Successfully completed articles with a reputable audit firm and obtained varied exposure to multiple industries and companies
    • Knowledge of accounting principles and practices including reporting
    • Knowledge of legislation regarding accounting, finances, and taxation
    • Comfortable to operate within an environment with active shareholder involvement
    • Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office with a strong working knowledge of Excel Advanced is a requirement for this position

    Internal Counter Sales Person - Blackheath

    Responsibilities include, but not limited to: 

    • Excellent Customer Service ensuring client satisfaction
    • Servicing walk in customers and telephonic sales
    • Applying correct and latest price updates
    • Attending to all quotation requests both telephonically and emailing with a same day turn-around time
    • Informing clients of promotions and specials
    • Capturing received orders on the same day ensuring correct order - product, pricing, and all relevant contact and delivery details

    • Experience dealing with customers in the hardware, construction, agriculture, fencing or mining industries will be an advantage
    • Understanding of administration processes

    Data Coordinator - Stellenbosch Techno Park

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for data integrity in the pallet management system, maintain codes and act as the gatekeeper of data entering the system.
    • Liaison with packhouses and cold rooms in resolving deviations.
    • Responsible for general reporting from system to growers, customers, various industry entities and management
    • Assist operational team with general tasks

    The ideal candidate:

    • Tertiary qualification in Logistics and Business Analytics
    • Experience in pallet management systems such as OX will be advantageous but is not a prerequisite
    • Experience in data handling and reporting creating, BI reporting will be advantageous with a definite interest in data
    • Able to work accurately, be organized and function well under pressure
    • Proactive, hands-on and the ability to take initiative
