    Automation Lead - Centre Of Excellence (COE)

    Datacentrix is seeking an Automation Lead - Centre of Excellence (COE) for our Digital Business Solutions division to be based in Cape Town, Midrand or Durban. The successful candidate will have experience in a Technical or Operational Management role and be the point of Escalations for the Automation COE and will collaborate and work closely with the relevant organization to find the root cause of key and critical problems, issues and customer escalations by providing domain expertise and involving the right support.

    Requirements:

    • Matric or Grade 12 (Minimum Schooling requirements)
    • Bachelor's Degree in the appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience

    The purpose of this role is to lead and support the design and delivery of data analytics/engineering and data science solutions through the use of statistical analysis, machine learning, and data modelling to drive business value by providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.     Skills, Experience & Education

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree in quantitative management (decision sciences) or Computer Science/Statistics/Applied Statistics/Applied Mathematics
    • Preferable certifications, Data science, Power BI, SQL Server(MCTS, MCITP, Microsoft Certification in data, data science or artificial intelligence Experience/ Requirements

    Minimum 8 years of related experience working on data exploration and visualization tools.

    • Strong programming skills (SQL essential, python and/or R highly desirable, Spark, Java, MDX, DMX).
    • Experience with common data science toolkits such as R, Hadoop, SAS, Excel and PowerBI.

    Datacentre Server Engineer - Cape Town

    Datacentrix Cape Town is looking for Server Engineers to provide 2nd line datacentre support at the server infrastructure level, maintaining delivery within agreed service levels. Support primarily within the server management and support layer but will support complexities within the end user computing layer. Scope will extend to initial diagnosis in other components of infrastructure prior to reassignment to 3rd line support / other resolver groups. 

    Primary Role Accountabilities

    • Assist with escalations from 1st line support engineers
    • Where required, escalate to 3rd line timeously to maintain SLA commitments, ensuring to retain ownership of the ticket, sharing detail of all actions taken to resolve and working in collaboration with 3rd line to further remediate and resolve the incident.
    • Preventative maintenance (Patch management)
    • Remediate issues identified by audit and monthly reporting
    • Ensure adherence to all customer and internal policies, procedures and standards
    • Perform research and continued effort towards education for the purpose of improving knowledge and experience-levels in the products/systems supported by the company
    • Operates within process controls and applies due diligence in following standard operating procedures.
