    Junior Software Developer - Associate-Johannesburg 1

    Job description

    The Africa Assurance Digital Innovation team is looking to hire a talented software developer to assist in building tailored digital and innovative solutions for our Assurance business. These solutions encompass a range of smart technologies such as Robotic Process Automation (RPA), SharePoint, Machine Learning (ML), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Data Analytics.

    You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and support of these innovative solutions. These solutions are designed to monitor and facilitate process operations, enhance productivity, maximise efficiency and mitigate risk in the business. You will also be responsible for writing and modifying code, debugging software and providing support post-implementation.

    Other responsibilities include:

    • Designing, coding, and implementing scalable software solutions.
    • Maintaining and upgrading existing systems.
    • Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimisation.
    • Create technical and process documentation for reference and reporting.
    • Managing user access and permissions.

    CMO Finance, Manager

    We are looking for a Commercial Management Organization (CMO) Finance, Manager to join our Managed Services team.  As a CMO Finance, Manager, you will play an integral role in defining, implementing and producing best-in-class financial reporting, controls and other processes on Managed Services engagements.  

    You will report to the CMO Finance, Senior Manager and will work closely with other significant global stakeholders and global delivery and enablement teams.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Implement financial processes and controls across EY Member Firms, alliances, third parties and clients. 
    • Participate in appropriate deal governance forums.
    • Prepare granular financial forecasts and interlock with sub-service line delivery & finance leadership, on a well-defined recurring basis.
    • Implement financial forecasts, track actual performance against forecast and conduct root cause analysis to isolate the drivers of any variance to forecast.  Collaborate with contract delivery leaders to implement financial recovery plans, as needed.
    • Interface with clients to implement contractual invoicing & payment terms.
    • Implement new charging constructs, where applicable.
    • Manage invoice preparation, submission and collection across EY Member Firms, alliances and third parties.
    • Determine revenue allocation mechanisms for the EY Member firms.
    • Calculate and prepare payments for EY Member firms.

    Assistant Manager - Mining Engineer

    Your key responsibilities

    The role is client facing and requires multi-commodity experience. In the role the you will be required to execute on proposals, project management and timeous invoicing. The role may require travel from time-to-time to remote locations.

    The role is suitable to a person who has gained practical experience at a mining operation and has begun to develop competence in the Mineral Reserve estimation process. The role will require firm understanding of the mining industry with technical mining consulting experience in the following, but not limited, disciplines:
