    IT Audit Supervisor (Durban)

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • Supervisor assisting Managers to scope, plan and manage a team to execute the engagements to assist clients in relation to IT Audits, IT Governance & Strategy, Project Assurance, Business Continuity & IT Disaster Recovery, Cyber and Information Security engagements. Through performance of such engagements, you will be required to assist and enable our clients to achieve efficiencies, risk mitigation and differentiation. This role will also require fieldwork to be performed in the execution of small to medium or complex projects which is likely to involve multi-disciplinary teams, giving the individual in this position great exposure to all facets of the auditing and advisory functions.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Performing / assisting with business/risk assessments and engagement planning
    • Project Management including resource planning, budgeting and management of progress against budget, billing and collections, quality assurance and risk management on engagements
    • Engaging with partners and managers to work together with them in teams
    • Applying appropriate methodologies and skills to test general IT and application controls, conducting risk and maturity assessments in information security, continuity and other areas in addition to developing/ implementing policies, procedures, frameworks.
    • Preparing reports/ deliverables and discussion/negotiation thereof and presentations to clients
    • Supporting management with supervision, training, coaching, development and mentoring of junior staff
    • Continuous improvement and updating of technical knowledge
    • Contribute towards enhancing current levels of service delivery, quality and client satisfaction
    • Assisting with department administration and initiatives
    • Reviewing, rating and performance management of subordinate staff
    • Develop internal and external client relationships
    • Ability to identify and convert potential business development / sales opportunities

    Internal Audit Manager – Data and Tech Enablement

    Description of the role and purpose of the job:

    • Our national Internal Audit, Risk and Compliance Services practice provides strategic sourcing of Internal Audit; Enterprise Risk Management; Governance, Regulatory Compliance, Contract Compliance and Sustainability services. This involves a strong focus on all aspects of our clients’ core business processes, regulatory, risk, control and IT landscape includes assessing risk, evaluating control effectiveness, identifying weaknesses, and developing solutions. These solutions will need leverage to be Data & Analytics and Technology-enabled.
    • KPMG considers itself a market leading Internal Audit provider locally and globally. We currently have a vacancy for one experienced Manager candidate within our JHB office. This candidate should be able to utilise their analytical, statistical, and programming skills to collect, analyse, and interpret large data sets. Using this information, they will be required to develop data-driven solutions to address and solve business challenges tailored to an any organization’s needs.
    • In this role, the candidate should be highly analytical with a knack for analysis and be able to work with stakeholders throughout an organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.     Key responsibilities:
    The Manager will be responsible for:

    • Identifying valuable data sources and automate collection processes
    • Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
    • Analysing large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
    • Combining models through ensemble modelling
    • Presenting information using data visualization techniques
    • Proposing solutions and strategies to business challenges
    • Collaborating with engineering and product development teams

    •  Preparing audit reports, presentation/communicating findings and recommendations to management including discussion/negotiation of the findings.
    •  The daily management of audit staff and supporting the Partner with delegated tasks.
    •  Aiding the coaching, development and performance management of audit staff including completion of the project performance evaluations.
    •  Contribute towards continuous improvement, enhancing current levels of service delivery, quality and client satisfaction.
    •  Assisting with departmental administration and initiatives including staff planning.
    •  Lock up management (financial administration, billings etc).

    Skills and attributes required for the role:

    •  Experience using computer languages (SQL, IDEA, Python, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
    •  Data mining experience
    •  Problem-solving aptitude
    •  Experience working with and creating data architectures
    •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams
    •  A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
    •  Sound understanding of internal audit, risk management and regulatory imperatives
    •  Previous management experience including relevant experience in:
    •  Business process, risk, control and process improvement analysis (including sound risk, control and process improvement documentation and analysis   ability)
    •  Engagement planning and supervision experience including ensuring all key client scope requirements and expectations are met satisfactorily.
    •  Sound and structured report writing ability (considering all key facts and background)
    •  Project and time management and ability to drive the team’s quality work deliverables within the agreed project budgets and deadlines.

    Call Centre Shift Supervisor (Contract)

    Background

    • Oversee our Call Centre team and clients to whom we render a 24-hour, seven days a week whistle-blower hotline service.  The service provides an independent reporting channel to enable our clients, their employees and related third parties to report on workplace issues relating to: fraud; misconduct; unethical behaviour; etc, through a safe and anonymous reporting channel.

    Contract period:

    • We offer a contract position in our call centre.

    Working hours: 

    • The position is shift based. The candidate will be required to work mostly nightshift (including weekends; public holidays). At this stage, we are still working remotely, but the position may require the candidate to work from one of our call centre hubs.

     Permit/Visa requirements:

    • The candidate needs to hold a valid SA ID

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • We offer a contract position within our forensic call centre for a Shift Supervisor. The candidate will be required to oversee our Call Centre Operations on a shift basis.

    Primary duties include the following:

    • Supervision of call centre team members while on shift
    • Ensuring that there are always adequate agents on shift and calling in additional resources should the need arise
    • Assisting call centre team members with call queries and difficult callers while on shift
    • Stay abreast of new client onboarding to support team
    • Monitor team performance to ensure compliance with client expectations and SLA’s:
    • i.e. Call answer time; Abandonment rate and Call requeued rate
    • Monitor team performance to ensure that the shifts are worked, calls answered, reports submitted etc
    • Escalating calls as appropriate to third party providers
    • Prepare and submit Supervisor report for each shift completed (i.e. recording any issues; hours worked by team and reports submitted)

    Qualifications and Experience requirements:

    • Skill set required: A customer-oriented individual with good communication and interpersonal skills that is willing and able to work shifts.
    • Technical experience requirements: Sound working knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft Office Suite

    Key responsibilities and services exposure:

    • BSc / BEng Mechanical Engineering (with IT/IS modules)
    • Minimum 65% academic average across all years of study
