    Senior Manager: Equity SFS

    To oversee and manage a portfolio of equity type transactions from implementation through to termination and to ensure that the defined transactional requirements reflected in the relevant approvals, transaction documentation and legal agreements are implemented and adhered to. This includes management of the vehicles and structures in which the transactions are housed.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Proactively manage all internal and external stakeholder relationships, making sure that the relevant client service levels are adhered to uphold and meet Nedbank’s strategic objectives.
    • Adhere to internal controls and procedures to alleviate risk and prevent losses by following internal procedures and agreed processes to ensure effective management of transactions. Identify control gaps and introduce adequate processes to ensure such gaps are mitigated.
    • Guide and advise on the preparation of various financial reports required to analyse and track investment data including monthly Investment Committee lead schedules and six-monthly Investment Committee Valuation and Monitoring lead schedules.
    • Build trusting relationships with stakeholders, including Frontline Equity teams, through consistent and timeous communication.
    • Guide and manage transactions by complying with internal procedures and agreed processes to effect execution and management of equity transactions from implementation to termination (read and understand legal agreements, load transactions on product systems, collect cashflows, ensure desired accounting, regulatory and tax outcomes are achieved, arrange and structure funding for such transactions, apply knowledge of Companies Act, Excon, FICA, Tax, Accounting to transaction where applicable).
    • Assistance with ensuring that Middle Office equity team understands and adhere to the terms and conditions of transaction documents, relevant legislation and operational requirements.
    • Manage the entities and structures in which the transactions are housed (including funding agreements, accounting, tax return submissions, Companies Act requirements, Carry Schemes, Regulatory applications and conditions, etc).
    • Demonstrate leadership traits that will create a culture that drives the vision and values.

    • 7 – 10 years Financial experience in the management of Equity transactions (middle office) and/or relevant frontline deal and transaction experience.

    Engineering Lead II

    To envision, lead and develop fit for purpose, integrated end- to end technical solutions across multiple technologies for the organisation, through inspirational technical leadership and visionary long-term thinking. Provide leadership across multiple initiatives guiding engineering lead practitioners to achieve product / programme alignment.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Analyse problems and formulate solution based on organisations boundaries, architectures and constraints: Needs to be achievable and operational, must push boundaries when required and continuously push for improvements.
    • Take proposed solutions through relevant governance forums and obtain acceptance for solutions from relevant specialists (domain or technology).

    Essential Qualification

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience in development and design (Application, Infrastructure, etc.).
    • Bachelor Degree in either Information Systems, Informatics or Computer Science or Engineering (or equivalent work experience).

    Data Engineer

    To prepare data products and advance technical thought leadership for the Enterprise, to deliver fit for purpose data products for consumption by advanced analytics. Provide clean, usable data to whomever may require it.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Design, construct, install, test and maintain highly scalable data management systems.
    • Ensure systems meet business requirements and industry practices.
    • Build high-performance prototypes, and proof of concepts.
    • Research opportunities for data acquisition and new uses for existing data.
