    Principal Specialist Risk Centre of Excellence Manager

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    With Vodacom Financial and Digital Lifestyle Services (VFDS) commitment to pushing the boundaries in Fintech innovation, we are looking for the highest caliber individuals to help drive our Governance, Risk and Compliance initiatives. This role will manage the Risk Centre of Excellence in the VFDS business and will be responsible for:

    • Development, maintenance and implementation of the risk management framework, policies, standards, key risk indicator dashboards, guidelines and toolkits that supports and aligns to the organisation risk strategy and appetite.
    • Development of models and templates to create customer/product risk profiles and enable proactive and focussed risk management initiatives. 
    • Risk management knowledge sharing between the Governance, Risk and Compliance function and key Vodacom Financial Services stakeholders to enhance and maintain a risk focused culture.
    • Liaising with other Vodacom Group and Vodafone departments and Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure risks are identified and mitigation controls are implemented.
    • Research in the field of risk management to maintain expert knowledge of industry best practice locally and across other fintech markets. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Develop and maintain the Vodacom Financial Services risk management framework, policies, standards and guidelines as well as facilitate knowledge transfer within Vodacom Financial Services.
    • Develop customized risk models and toolkits to proactively identify risk and enable proactive risk management at a business unit level and aggregate this to a VFDS business level.

    Growth Manager Acquiring

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The role purpose of the Growth Manager Acquiring is to drive Merchant Engagement, across the POS Acquiring base with the goal to grow and retain revenue.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Growth function

    • Drive business growth by implementing and continuously improve on merchant retention strategies ensuring the highest rates of merchant activity rates across the acquiring book, and in so doing optimising the cost of merchant acquisition.

    • Lead and oversee telephonic merchant engagements within the BCA Lending space.
    • Regularly reviews the merchant touchpoints on launched products to ensure the products meet merchants’ expectations, highlight deficiencies, and drive the resolution thereof with the relevant accountable parties.
