    Chief Executive Officer:XREAL027

    Key Performance Areas:

    • Strategically manage the business and employ turnaround strategies to ensure and sustain EDA’s economic, social, and financial benefit to the City of Ekurhuleni.
    • Drive the implementation of the Aerotropolis Masterplan, including its brand management, marketing, and communication, in parallel with the Aerotropolis Planning goals.
    • Lead, manage, and coordinate the production of short-, medium-, and long-term plans and strategies for the EDA in line with national and provincial government objectives, the City’s Growth and Development Strategy (GDS 2055), and the aspirations of the citizens of Ekurhuleni.
    • Manage the development, implementation and review of the corporate strategy and business plan to ensure alignment with the EDA’s objectives.
    • Develop a financial business model to ensure long-term sustainability of the business.
    • Ensure that all EDA capital projects are delivered in line with project plans and in a manner that is sustainable and successfully regenerates the areas.
    • Collaborate with public and private entities to facilitate the delivery of strategic and flagship projects both locally and internationally.
    • Manage organisational performance and human capital to ensure EDA objectives are met.
    • Champion organisational compliance and corporate governance leadership.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (government, business, and communities) so that the EDA is well promoted and able to deliver on its stated outcomes.
    • Serve as Accounting Officer of the organisation in terms of the Municipal Finance Management Act and take full financial responsibility

    Core Requirements:

    • A minimum of a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Law, Built Environment/Engineering, Management, or related field (NQF Level 9).
    • Minimum 10 years’ experience in business management, urban development or local government, of which 5 years’ experience should be in an executive management role within local government environment.
    • A track record of success at senior level in achieving operational results and delivering programmes with and through partners in the public, private and community sectors.
    • Knowledge and experience in managing diverse development projects, preferably in an urban setting in the public sector.
    • Understanding of the local, provincial, and national government environment.
    • Understanding of financial management and experience in managing human capital.
    • A thorough understanding of the Ekurhuleni economy and development trends, at an area-specific level.
    • Excellent people management and communications skills would be an added advantage.

    Snr Specialist: Operations-IRPTN - TRFL19564

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree in Road Transport Management/ Transport Management/ Public Transport Planning/ Operations Management/ Business Management (NQF 7)
    • Drivers licence
    • 5 years working experience in a management position in the public transport or private sectors with at least 3 years thereof spent in a passenger transportation operation environment

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Manage and oversee all duties relating to execution of the IRPTN bus operations
    • Define strategic and operational planning objectives in accordance with the section's business plan and key performance areas.
    • Plan and develop governance and risk management arrangements, processes and procedures to ensure accountability and effective implementation of the mandate of IRPTN operations.
    • Provide support to the Divisional Head in the interpretation of policies, legislation and identification of trends
    • Provide strategic guidance, leadership and coordinate the management of the different functions of the Section and ensure integration with the Quality Control Section and Station & Security Management Section
    • Ensure that the team perform according to the work plan and ensuring optimisation of work output and productivity
    • Coordinate and manage activities within the division and to ensure regular interaction with other departments while ensuring good communication channels and dissemination of information with IRPTN Unit other divisions

    Project Manager: Construction & Infrastructure-IRPTN - TRFL19556

    Minimum Requirements:

    • B Eng/ BSc/ B Tech in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
    • Drivers licence
    • 8 years working experience in construction/ contract or project management with 6 years of managing multidisciplinary teams in Civil Engineering or Construction Management

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Facilitate the development and maintenance of the IRPTN infrastructure functions to ensure infrastructure developments are executed according to specifications.
    • Oversee and monitor implementation of IRPTN projects through effective and efficient project management practices
    • Ensure that projects are completed on time, with the set budget and acceptable standards
    • Develop, implement and update IRPTN infrastructure provision and maintenance plans
    • Prioritise IRPTN infrastructure projects and ensure new and maintenance IRPTN projects are properly executed as planned
    • Develop risk and quality management plan, provide technical support and ensure adherence on prescribed quality of work on implemented projects
    • Ensure that the IRPTN Infrastructure is properly established, operated and maintained
    • Ensure constant infrastructure assessment and evaluation to determine any maintenance requirements
    • Ensure compliance to governance and risk management and applicable policies and procedures
    • Ensure that financial administration delivery processes comply with internal control and governance standards and processes

    • Interpersonal and Communication skills
    • 1 year experience as a cashier

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Co-ordinate ticket sales, sale of smart cards and various tickets to the public
    • Responsible for receiving, balancing and preparing monies for deposits
    • Handle enquiries with regards to fares
    • Completion of cashbook and passenger information on excel spreadsheet for monthly reporting purpose
    • Archiving of all relevant documentation for audit and record purpose
    • Responsible for special bus hire administration
    • Responsible for the neatness and cleanliness of the cashier office and area utilized by public.
    • Receive members of the public who announce themselves at the office for enquiries and complaints
    • Attend to telephonic enquiries and refer to the relevant stakeholders
    • Provide feedback to any outstanding enquiries
