The successful candidate must hold a 3-year legal degree/ Investigations related degree or an equivalent qualification with 3-5 years investigative experience and/or experience within a regulatory environment.
A valid code B drivers license.
Duties:
Conduction investigations and monitoring of compliance with the National Credit Act.
Drafting investigation mandates and reports.
Questioning witnesses and conducting research.
Providing information in order to obtain search warrants.
Keeping up to date with the latest relevant decisions of tribunals and courts.
The successful candidate must hold a 3-year legal degree/ or an Investigations related degree with at least 4 years working experience. Credit Industry, Regulatory compliance experience and an understanding of debt counselling will be an added advantage.
A valid code B driver s license with own vehicle is essential as well as the willingness to travel.

Drafting investigation mandates and reports.
Questioning witnesses and conducting research.
Providing information in order to obtain search warrants.
Assessment of evidence collected and drafting of investigation reports.
Interpreting the National Credit Act.
Providing witness testimony in the National Consumer tribunal and courts.
Keeping up to date with the latest relevant decisions of tribunals and courts.
The successful candidate must hold an LLB Degree and be an admitted attorney Civil litigation experience within a legal practice is required.
A minimum of 1 yearexperience within a Regulatory Environment is an added advantage.
5 years post admission litigation experience. Experience in a regulatory agency, the credit industry or working at a law firm/bar council will serve as an added advantage.
Duties:
The successful candidate will deal with litigation matters, which will include complex and contentious matters, on behalf of the department from the National Consumer Tribunal, High Court, SCA and Constitutional Court.
Drafting of pleadings and litigation of matters at the National Consumer Tribunal.
Assessing investigation reports and advising on enforcement action.
Preparing and presenting cases at tribunals and/or courts.
Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
Conducting research on issues within the credit industry
