    Summary

    This position is supporting the GWIM client-facing platforms - My Merrill, Merrill Edge and Benefits Online. The project manager is responsible for managing multiple software development projects through the full SDLC from initiation through deployment. This includes facilitating document reviews, team meetings, collecting and consolidating cost estimates, schedules and signoffs of pertinent artifacts in accordance with defined processes, managing risks, issues, changes and action items and tracking and reporting progress to management and project stakeholders. The project manager coordinates test planning, script reviews testing and defect resolution and deployment planning and support and ensures that the project adheres to all Enterprise and GWIM risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.

    Required Skills

    • 3 – 5 years prior project management experience
    • Detail oriented with excellent communication and organizational skills
    • Strong people management and negotiation skills
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities for concurrent projects effectively
    • Familiar with distributed and web-based applications
    • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project
    • Familiarity with Rally tool and PMP certification are a plus

    Responsibilities include

    • building high performing website solutions by utilizing in-depth knowledge of software engineering with Web based Object Oriented Technologies like .NET, C++, ASP, HTML, XML, Oracle, AJAX/JQUERY.
    • Leverage VISIO and Microsoft project plan in design phases and implementation phases to document the SAD and task assignment to offshore developers.
    • Work with product and business managers from the beginning of the product cycle through release. Develop web services for the mid-tier using .NET and WCF.
    • Implementation of web services across multiple channels by leveraging external client web services over the internet using WCF client certificates and FedLogin security models.
    • Design and development of .NET and ASP UI with web pages using advanced AJAX/JQUERY. Utilize Visual Studio .NET and Team Foundation Server.
    • Participate in creating detailed test scripts and test programs to support SQA.

    Summary

    This role is for passionate, multi-talented IT professionals with technology, design and business backgrounds, as well as a great propensity for creative problem solving. In this role one will be responsible for leading & creating interactive Web UI front-end with high fidelity to production front end code from a combination of wireframes, visual designs and design standards. Certain projects may also require creation of visual designs and wireframes directly from business concepts in accordance with user experience standards and guidelines. The candidate will also need to guide the creation of design standards to ensure that they are technically feasible and will work in the production environment; this requires close partnership with production application development and architecture teams to fully understand server-side constraints as well.

    Meticulous attention to detail and a proper sense of urgency are essential to success in this role. Frontend Demos will be regularly reviewed at senior levels in the business organization and prompt turnaround of deliverables is crucial to the success of the initiative. A portfolio review may be required as part of the interviewing process.

    Required Skills

    • Develop innovative and engaging responsive/adaptive UIs with the latest technologies
    • Building multiple designs/layouts for UI concepts and translate these designs in a HTML template, adhering to web standards.
    • Visualize concepts quickly and cleanly through rapid prototyping methods.
