    Institutional Fund Accountant (Prescient Fund Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Processing and setting up of audit, trustee, custody and management fees. 
    • Ensuring Variation Margin is processed correctly and matches the Clearing House Statement daily. 
    • Ensure capturing / processing of all 3rd Party duplication trades to the accounting system timeously and accurately (ensure they match the third-party valuation reports)
    • Pricing of funds and ensuring the valuation of financial instruments are in line with the funds’ performance e.g., equities, bonds, and derivatives. 
    • Understand tolerance level checking against a benchmark and are familiar with what is deemed as an unacceptable asset and NAV fund price variance.
    • Responsible for running, checking, and sending of client reports daily and monthly. 
    • Handling queries efficiently to ensure resolution of both internal and external client queries (in conjunction with the Client Delivery team)
    • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to mitigate risk.
    • Supporting the management and co-ordination of team deliverables relating to projects and new client take-on’s. 
    • Performing daily cash and scrip reconciliations, along with the ability to understand the cause of breaks in order to resolve.
    • Ability to work both from the office and home on a set weekly schedule. 
    • Standard working hours applicable to this role. 

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

    • Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar segregated Fund Accounting role is essential, along with a solid understanding of asset management operations.

    Quantitative Analyst (Prescient Investment Management)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Asset Allocation/Balanced Quantitative Research
    The key objective is the development of new asset allocation tools and strategies, as well as the improvement of the current system

    • Assist in defining the asset allocation research/alpha framework.
    • Improve the current asset management tools available and maintain the infrastructure in place. 
    • Develop econometric models to shape the tactical asset allocation.
    • Improve the process on the strategic asset allocation by applying different optimisations. 
    • Improve the portfolio construction process by developing tools to measure correlations, minimize slippage etc. 
    • Generate new ideas around risk management and implement them.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE 

    • 1-3 years of experience in a comparable role, or in another quantitative finance field, having coded predictive models in various scripting languages. In the role it is essential to understand and implement sound econometric concepts in different scripting languages, driving efficiencies within the team and research processes. Knowledge of various statistical techniques and data science are therefore key elements.
    • Solid understanding of asset allocation, economics and multi asset portfolio management
    • Strong programming skills, particularly in R, are therefore essential (other languages are beneficial, especially Python)
    • Solid experience managing and analysing large amounts of data is a must (ideally SQL)
    • Experience with version control and database solutions necessary (ideally Git)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Design, develop, and test applications based on the .NET framework and C#.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new business solutions and assist with automation.

    Marketing Co-Ordinator (Prescient Investment Management)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Manage and deliver advertising campaigns across an array of media channels:

    • Brief agency partners
    • Manage reverts and approval processes

    Manage and deliver marketing projects aligned with investments team and sales team projects:

    Providing sales support to the Business Development and Investment teams including, but not limited to

    Talent Development Specialist (Prescient Centralised Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    As a Talent partner and people consultant to the business, your role will be varied and will require collaboration and engagement with various stakeholders.  Your key duties will include:

    • Working with entity leadership and the Head of Talent, to implement talent initiatives to ensure the retention of key skills and resources, identification of top talent within the business, managing employee development programs, and supporting the high-performance culture of the business.

    Retirement and Life Products Administrator (Prescient Fund Services)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Checking the FNB product inflow accounts daily and performing reconciliation of Product bank accounts.
    • Processing new investments, switches, retirements and withdrawals and static detail changes daily on the administration system as well as the online banking platform (FNB). 
    • Processing relevant month end administrative tasks, for example, admin/advisor fees, living annuity income payments, monthly debit orders, etc.
    • Processing Section 14 transfers and Directive 135 transfers as required.
