    EHS Manager

    About the Role

    We are looking to recruit an ‘Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager’ for the site. As an EHS Manager, you will lead, direct, and help manage allEnvironmental, Health and Safety functions for the site, in compliance with the Givaudan EHS policies, and with all applicable local and international EHSregulations.  
    This is a full-time hands-on role reporting to the Site Operations Director

    You Will:

    • Support and advice site management on all EHS aspects; act as a coach to line managers to ensure that EHS becomes and remains a lineresponsibility.
    • Develop an EHS vision aligned with the company strategy for the site taking into account both the Operations/EHS Global Strategy, programmes, andthe local legislation and ensure the implementation on the ground.
    • Ensure compliance with all EHS Regulations with accurate documentation.
    • Lead and provide all site EHS training and behaviour-based safety programmes for new and existing employees and contractors.
    • Manage the EHS process for all hazardous and non-hazardous waste activities on the site and ensure emergency planning.
    • Ensure KPI reporting, audits, and follow up on incidents and gaps.
    • Maintain good relationships with relevant external partners (authorities/communities/network).
    • Be the primary contact for EHS regulatory agencies, other Givaudan departments, and the Local Management Team.
    • Manage Site Security

    Your professional profile includes:

    • A Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry, Engineering, EHS or a relevant discipline with additional industry recognised certifications.
    • 5+ years of relevant fieldwork experience leading EHS activities for a production/manufacturing site with medium to high hazard activities.
    • Experience in Process Safety Management for Fire & Explosions and Explosive Atmospheres.
    • Good track record in Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment, and Risk Control.
    • Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Auditing.
    • Knowledge of Emergency Management Procedures.

    Marketing Intern

    • You will support the marketing manager with international and local trends analysis
    • You will provide Ad Hoc marketing support, i.e. presentations, market information etc
    • You will assist with identification of creative concepts or business opportunities associated or presented by trends

    Consumer Understanding

    • You will drive and manage dedicated consumer research projects, i.e. to do desk & Internet search on various countries to get consumer understanding details related to food and beverages, culture, country profile and country related facts.
    • You will provide external and internal consumer research assistance, i.e. to seek feedback on concepts and ideas
    • You will capture local consumer trends and insights related to Beverages, Snacks, Savoury & Sweet Goods (Dairy & Bakery)

    Event management & Launches

    • You will organize conferences, launches and group events/functions from time to time as needed

    • Post Grad Qualification in Marketing or Consumer Science

    We are looking to for a Food Technologist Learner / Experimental Trainee for our Beverages Laboratory at ourTulisa Park office. The primary focus of this position is to provide assistance and support to Sweet Goods & Beverage creators in the realisation of their tasks. Sounds interesting?

    • Compound: You will compound flavour formulas. You will carry out powder and liquid blending and other flavour processes to make flavours. You will apply flavours to Sweet Goods & Beverage applications. You will contribute by food tasting.
    • Control of raw material: You will produce prototype samples for projects. You will receive and control raw materials in the lab. You will organise and renew the stock samples. You will record data using company software. You will support the smooth running of the lab.
    • Health and Safety: You will work strictly according to the company requirements for optimal safety, hygiene andprotection of the environment.
    • Learning: You will be required to attend classes as set out by the Learnership timetable and submit workplace portfolios

    Your professional profile includes:

    • Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Food Science / Technology or similar education
    • Ability to compound and work with precision
    • Basic knowledge in chemistry
    • Good sensory skills
    • Computer literate
    • Adequate spoken and written English
