    Manager: Fertiliser - VKB Input Trade, Head Office Reitz

    Job Description

    Overall management of VKB Input Trade's Fertiliser function, continuously managing internal and external relationships to ensure profitability and effectiveness within the department.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12/ NQF 4.
    • 3 - 5 years working in an administrative function with fertiliser transactions.
    • Proven knowledge of the fertiliser industry, suppliers and products.
    • MS Office proficient with the ability to work on MS EXCEL on an advanced level.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that Standard Operating Procedures and industry Good Practices are prioritised within the department.
    • Review and allocate availability of relevant supplies to Silos, Branches and Factories within the VKB Group.
    • Order stock according to needs and forecasts for the different factories & mixing plants within the VKB Group.
    • Manage stock distribution processes to ensure that there are no “out of stock” situations.
    • Review and allocate availability of fertiliser stock to Silos and Branches within the VKB Group.
    • Management of nominal credits on member’s accounts.
    • Overall coordination of Multi Green fertiliser loads to Silos and Branches within the VKB Group.
    • Overall administration and opening of cash accounts.
    • Request of fertilizer quotes from various suppliers for own stock within the VKB Group.
    • Capturing (GRV) of direct orders and issue credit notes where applicable; including possible fuel expenses.
    • Ensure that respective divisions' Goods Received Vouchers (GRVs), invoices and claims comply with the Risk Management Policy of the VKB Group.
    • Continuous liaison with internal and external departments, clients, suppliers and divisions to ensure good relationships.
    • Manage the divisions promotions and the communication thereof.
    • Weekly and monthly administration of VKB Input Trade Marketer’s reports and transactions
    • Liaison with creditors- and financing department to ensure timeous completion of invoices and effective management of client’s account limits.
    • Optimal inventory management of VKB’s inventory levels between Branches and Silos.
    • Monthly report and analysis of own stock deviations with regards to gross profit on fertilizer.
    • Timeous invoicing of direct clients with regards to agreed upon (negotiated) tariffs of seed, fertiliser, chemistry & fuel.
