    Sales Engineer

    Job Summary

    As a Sales Engineer at Lumax Energy, you will play a pivotal role in the sales and development of our Carport and Ground Mount systems for solar PV modules. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of quotations, Bill of Materials (BOM) lists, and the design of parts and solutions tailored to various PV mounting requirements. This role demands a blend of technical skills and creativity, offering the opportunity to engage in project management, cost analysis, and mechanical support across teams.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Drive sales efforts for our innovative Carport and Ground Mount systems designed for solar PV modules.
    • Prepare accurate quotations and Bill of Materials (BOM) lists for PV module mounting solutions.
    • Provide support to other teams, contributing to a collaborative engineering environment.
    • Design mechanical parts and solutions that meet diverse PV mounting requirements, ensuring technical and operational feasibility.
    • Conduct cost analysis for mechanical parts and solutions, optimising for efficiency and sustainability.
    • Manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring deadlines and specifications are met.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor’s degree (B.Eng) or Technology degree (BTech) in Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
    • A keen eye for detail with a commitment to high accuracy in all aspects of your work.
    • Strong communication skills, capable of effective verbal and written exchanges.
    • Proficiency in computer and mathematical skills, with an emphasis on punctuality, accuracy, and organisation.

    Computer Skills

    • Proficiency in drafting or design software such as Inventor or similar.
    • Advanced mathematical capabilities in Excel.

    Preferred

    • Experience in technical design and manufacturing.
    • Graduate level up to 1-2 years of engineering work experience.
    • Solar and Renewables experience a plus

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Direct and inspire a sales engineering team to surpass business targets and sales quotas.
    •  Oversee project compliance to ensure integration of high-quality management practices and operational systems.
    •  Facilitate collaboration across Engineering, Drafting, and Sales departments to enhance product development and market delivery.
    •  Maintain exceptional team performance, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational standards.
    •  Implement training programs for sales and engineering teams to enhance their skills and knowledge, ensuring alignment with industry standards and technological advancements.
    •  Establish performance metrics for the sales engineering team and conduct regular reviews to ensure accountability and progress towards goals.
    •  Identify potential risks associated with business operations and develop mitigation strategies to prevent disruptions.
    •  Advocate and integrate sustainability practices within the team and project executions to align with the company’s environmental and corporate responsibility goals.

    Requirements
    Qualifications

    •  Possess a B.Eng/B.Tech degree in Structural, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
    •  Additional qualification in Project Management is highly beneficial, enhancing the candidate’s ability to manage diverse projects effectively.
    •  Demonstrated leadership and a successful track record in engineering sales within a technical and dynamic environment.
    •  Advanced knowledge of CRM and ERP systems preferred.
    •  Certification in relevant sales or engineering management methodologies, such as PMP, Six Sigma, or Lean Management.
    •  Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

    Experience Requirements

    •  Minimum of 10 years of extensive sales experience in the engineering or manufacturing sectors, with a focus on leadership and market expansion.
    •  Solid experience in managing cross-functional teams and overseeing large-scale projects.
    •  Strong skills in communication, strategic planning, and team development are essential.
