    Senior Specialist Planning

    Short Description / Purpose of Job
    Sustainably maximise Energy Business profitability through structured medium term (6 monthly) Fuels Energy production planning and gross margin optimisation across production facilities considering crude selection and product optimisation. Facilitate the Sales and Operations process across the Energy Clusters

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Facilitate the Sales and Operations or supporting Integrated Business Planning process; and support the compilation of EXCO production related information between the different Energy Clusters for all Fuels related product
    • Handover and co-create the Sasol shareholding of the Natref contractual production plans for implementation for month M+1 with Natref Joint Venture team

    GL reconciliations

    • Manage GL reconciliation process which includes all the GL accounts feeding into the BU Financial trail balance and BU management acccounts.

    • Perform and review relevant GL reconciliations.

    Compliance

    • Implement and perform internal and SOX controls around the statutory reporting process.
    • Change relevant sox controls and internal business processes to ensure standarisation and alignment amongst various areas

    Tax Support

    • At year end and half year end, assist Tax with information to support accurate income and deferred tax calculations
    • Assist with tax and deferred tax accounting/disclosure in BU with support from BU Tax advisor.

    Process Controller Gr2 Cyanide

    Short Description / Purpose of Job

    A Process Controller operates process equipment and systems for a cyanide plant / unit within the Sasol environment to achieve production requirements in a safe manner

    Recruitment Description / Key Accountabilities

    • Participate in emergency preparedness exercise
    • Perform routine inspection on safety equipment
    • Conduct BBS Observations
    • Perform effective shift handover
    • Electrical isolation of equipment
    • Performing gas test for vessel entries and Hot work
