    Senior Fund Administrator

    What you will do:

    Supervises and coordinates activities of clerical workers by determining/monitoring work procedures, preparing work schedules and expediting workflow. Issues written and oral instructions. Responsible for assigning duties and examining work for exactness, neatness and conformance to policies and procedures. Standardises procedures to improve efficiency of subordinates. Prepares composite reports from individual reports of subordinates. Adjusts errors and complaints.

    • Administration of Retirement Funds and maintenance of member level transactions across functional systems and functional areas within SEB Core.
    • Supervision of and sign-off on the correctness of administrator(s) processing, recording, reporting and related compliance matters.

    • Provide Assistant Manager with input on the team members' training needs on business processes and systems.
    • Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or Introduction to Retirement Funds (IRF) qualification will be advantageous
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook etc.)

    • Clean up and maintain unclaimed benefits according to the project plan

    • Accurate investment and disinvestment instructions actioned
    • Ensure that income is banked and deposit schedules are send to finance by 25th of each month
    • High quality administration reports sent timeously
    • Administration reports to contain detailed bank account analysis, which has been checked in line with ALM bank account analysis and SLA compliance stat on both reconciliations and claims
    • Clearing of control accounts monthly
    • Resolve actuarial queries within 5 working days of receipt
    • Minimize admin report queries and ensure checks by month end
    • Update Consulting of due dates on a monthly basis
    • Ensure logs are addressed within a 5 day period

    Head: Investor Relations: Group Financial Reporting

    What you will do:

    Responsible for creating and presenting a consistently applied investment message to the investment community on behalf of the company. Monitors operational and financial performance and develops investor relations messages based on these changes. Provides feedback to management regarding the investment community’s opinions and perception regarding the company’s performance. Represents the views of the investment community to management in the development of corporate strategy. Maintains a company investor relations plan and creates a mix of shareholders through a variety of targeting initiatives. Monitors performance metrics and performs a comprehensive competitor analysis. Oversees the production financial reports.

    The Head: Investor Relations (“IR”) is responsible for the development and execution of the IR strategy, including an effective annual programme of IR activities, targeting the buy and sell side financial communities across geographies (predominantly South Africa, UK, US and Europe).

    What will make you successful in this role:

    The role is required to have a reasonable understanding of how external stakeholders will perceive decisions and actions of Sanlam and to support the development of appropriate responses and programmes to deal with these.
    As a company spokesperson, this position requires the development of knowledge of each cluster and major issues affecting Sanlam, including financial and macroeconomic/geopolitical issues.

    Key Accountabilities Of The Role Include

    • Development of a proactive investor relations strategy, in coordination with the C-Suite, ensuring that Sanlam’s business strategy and strategic progress is understood by the analyst and investor community.

    • Preparation of compelling investor presentations.
    • Contribute to effective results conference calls and management speeches.
    • Managing relationships with analysts, investors and prospective targets, enabling them to understand and fully appreciate the Group’s performance and potential, and thereby ensure that there is a fair reflection of the Group’s value in the share price.
    • Maintain strong Group and sector expertise. Stay current on all Group business activities, including financial and other material in order to be responsive to investors and the media, and to communicate effectively with management.
    • Prepare presentations for investors (e.g. investor conferences, roadshows) that are informative and accurate, and relevant to the current environment.
       

    Qualifications & Experience

    • University degree, ideally with some form of post-graduate financial qualification, e.g. MBA, CA(SA), Qualified Actuary, CFA.
    • Previous IR experience will be an advantage.
