An opportunity for a Softgel Operator for one of our clients in the Health retail sector to join their team in Cape Town Kuilsriver

PERMANENT POSITION

Responsibilities : 

• Ensure and verify adequate materials and supplies are available at the right quality to complete operations as per job requirement
• Facilitate movement of raw materials to/from the required production area (raw material return, or supply machine)
• Assist ion movement of production waste to gesgnate areas
• Maintain a high standard of GMP by performing housekeeping and sanitation of equipment and production area according to relevant SOPs 
• Accurate completion of production related paperwork (checklists, Logs, Reports, MES) according to the department 
• Perform production line opening and complete all relevant documentation according to SOP
• Perform necessary pre-operation activities to ensure proper equipment startup and operation on multiple pieces of equipment according to SOP
• Operate /monitor multiple pieces of line equipment during operation to ensure efficient, quality production with minimal unplanned stops according to SOP
• Adjust machine as needed for changeovers, different functions, or other varying needs of production as per SOP
• Complete planned production run within specified time
• Conduct and record periodic checks on product quality and output efficiency (IPC)
• Provide relevant progress updates to supervisors 
• Assist in resolving problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action
• Maintain OEE through maintenance, correct set up and minimizing changeovers according to the SOP
• Support effective team operations by ensuring smooth handovers, communicating with team members and minimizing wasted time and materials

Requirements : 

• Grade 12 with Mathematics
• N2 relevant technical qualification
• Valid Reach Truck / Forklift licence 
• Basic electrical knowledge
• Previous experience in dispensary / mixing sector 
• Atleast 1 year experience in a GMP production environment performing the relevant job
• Basic computer literacy 
• Knowledge of GMP and HACCP
• Knowledge of health and safety
