Role summary

Sanne is looking for a candidate to fill a permanent role as a Technology Analyst, assisting the team Manager in running the team structures on a day-to-day basis.

Key responsibilities:

• Key member of IT ServiceDesk team;
• Based in Johannesburg, to work on all IT service related queries, with an emphasis on NY and Dallas offices;
• Report to IT Supervisor;
• ServiceDesk Coordination, Incident Management and Monitoring Daily Checks;
• Work to IT policies and procedures;
• Act as a key liaison between IT Service Desk and the Infrastructure and Business Systems teams;
• Mentor and assist junior members of team;
• Produce and maintain network documentation;
• Install new/rebuild existing work stations and configure hardware;
• Perform small projects;
• Support in Microsoft Windows, Office and various in house applications;
• Work within a busy vibrant IT team;
• Windows Server Experience and PowerShell desirable;
• Knowledge of IT best practices.

Skills / experience

• Excellent communication and organizational skills;
• Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot & solve hardware/software faults efficiently;
• Self-motivated & capable of working on own initiative as well as part of a team;
• Experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange and Citrix is essential;
• Commitment to developing IT skills;
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently;
• Previous IT experience preferable and an interest in IT is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• The main responsibility is to ensure high availability and improve the performance of the Virtual Desktop environment within complete application suite in SANNE workplace, as well as to manage maintain and support Virtual desktop Citrix and RDS environments keeping the end user experience at highest level;
• Manage various types of medium-to-complex project initiatives, upgrades, and maintenance activities;
• Application and Operating System life-cycle management including upgrades, patching and off-hours maintenance and change control execution;
• Automation of engineered scripted solutions to address configuration issues or desired results;
• Monitor, troubleshoot and analyse issues with Servers, Applications, infrastructure services etc;
• Must have experience with Microsoft server operating systems and services, to include Active Directory, File and Print services, IIS, permissions, and security; experience with Microsoft desktop applications and operating systems; and experience with network protocols, design and maintenance;
• Analytical and strategic: Need to be able to use data to generate insights and reports that translate into strategic initiatives to improve processes;
• Must have good organization skills to balance and prioritize work and multitask; good analytical and problem solving skills to troubleshoot systems problems; and good communication skills to communicate with support personnel, customers, and managers;
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Requirements

Skills / experience required:

• Experience: 5-7 years’ experience working with and/or managing employee experience tools;
• Strong Domain Expertise: Be equipped with knowledge on deploying and managing employee virtual desktop environment such as Citrix, Microsoft RDS;
• Organized and creative: Must be able to respond to tight timelines and have the ability to problem-solve with creative solutions that enhance the employee experience.
