    Temporary Student Acquisitions Advisor

    Job description

    The main purpose of the Sales Acquisitions Advisor is to be the first point of contact for student enquiries regarding admission, registration and programme information. The position performs student recruitment activities via telephone, email as well as face-to-face meetings with prospective students and is responsible for selling Milpark Education Qualifications and promoting the portfolio of Milpark Education’s programmes to prospective students.

    Main Responsibilities include:

    Sales and Administration

    • Answer inbound calls, emails and prospective students that walk into the offices.
    • Assist student with admission and registration process to ensure appropriate guidance is provided regarding programme and qualification
    • Requirements and financial obligations.
    • Provides prospective students with the highest level of customer service through effective phone, email and face-to-face communication
    • Deliver prepared sales scripts to persuade potential students to purchase a product
    • Assist with providing sales documentation and information
    • Attend promotional events if and when required
    • Review enrolment/ registration documentation received from prospective student and ensure all required information is obtained
    • Ensure that all student records are updated on the database
    • Ensure that all Web queries are answered promptly and that the required follow up is done according to the requirements set to in the SLA
    • Meet activity and registration targets set by the Contact Centre Manager.

    Customer Service & Student contact

    • Ensure that all documentation is processed correctly including assisted registration. Ensure that all student queries are resolved quickly and promptly
    • Assist Student Services Administrators when required.
    • To build and maintain good relationships with students, customers and colleagues.
    • Answer telephonic and electronic requests for sales documentation and information within 24 hours. Follows up on outstanding/incorrect
    • Documentation uploaded by students.
    • Drive and ensure high customer services delivery to students.

    General

    • Demonstrate an awareness of the Milpark organisational policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that you are fully aware of the functionality of the various systems and tools as required in the sales team.
    • Ensure that you fully understand the details of the Milpark portfolio of Educational Products & Programmes.
    • Ensure that all deadlines / critical dates pertaining to SSD are adhered to according to academic planners, rosters etc.
    • Ensure that all interested students are contacted for marketing purposes and that follow ups are maintained.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Minimum of a Grade 12 Qualification
    • Further Qualification in Sales will be an advantage
    • Call Centre Sales experience, or telesales experience.
    • Relevant work experience inclusive of data-capturing
    • Experience in an educational environment entailing one on one interaction is highly preferred.
    • Ability to use technology (Excel, Outlook, Web, databases, CRMHigh Level Verbal and written communication skills

    Academic Administrator

    Job description

    The Role

    The position of Academic Administrator sits within a relevant department or across departments within the School of Investment and Banking. The staff member will be responsible for various tasks related to academic administration of a department or of the School with regard to allocated programmes or modules. The general purpose of the academic administrator role is to support all team members in achieving the School’s academic deliverables and the overall goal of student satisfaction.

    Would you be excited about the following tasks?

    • Assist the programme manager to admit students onto and sign off registrations as well as exemptions for allocated programmes
    • Manage part-time academic recruitment as well as induction, training, feedback and payment
    • Ensure excellent customer service and student communication on allocated programmes
    • Manage academic learning platforms for assigned modules
    • Manage academic deliverables and timelines for allocated modules
    • Assist with qualification reviews, oversight meetings, at risk meetings and student surveys
    • Take responsibility for general administrative tasks in the School or department, including arranging functions/training
    • Matric plus a NQF 5 or 6 qualification in business/commerce or related field
    • A degree or further qualification will be an advantage
    • 3 years of experience in academic administration
    • Industry experience in investment administration, investment management and/or banking will be an advantage
    • Experience with MS Office
    • Takes initiative and presents solutions rather than problems
    • Is pro-active and a self-starter
    • Is self-sufficient and finds out relevant information without having to be prompted
    • Understands the balance of attention to detail and getting tasks done as soon as possible

    Job description

    The Role

    Would you be excited about the following tasks?

    • Track and manage student results (pass rates and throughput rates) on assigned programmes and modules
    • Give input into the review and authoring process of learning and support material for assigned modules
    • Manage the process of setting, reviewing, moderating and marking assessments (i.e. assignments, online-tests, exams, online participation etc.) on assigned modules
    • Improve and ensure student motivation for assigned students/programmes and also on a continuous basis as a team effort for the School
    • Expand own expertise through attendance of networking events and conferences
    • Assist in the delivery of special projects for example consulting to a bank around specific customized training needs
    • Recruit, train and performance manage part-time academic staff for assigned modules
    • Potentially facilitate on a face-to-face basis or online

    Education

    A relevant BCOM Honours/PGD or Masters in the fields of economics, banking, accounting or similar required.

    Experience

    • Industry experience in the banking industry recommended
    • 1-3 years teaching experience at tertiary level recommended
