    Field Engineer

    Job description

    This role is responsible for the overall Controlling and Collection of
    customer accounts as fast and efficient as possible minimizing the risk of bad debt – without restricting sales – assisting in reaching the overall targets of making a profit.

    Reports to

    Head of Engineering

    Requirements for this position:

    • Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical or structural engineering
    • Minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in the Construction comparisons
    • Be able to identify opportunities in the early stages by prioritizing and focusing on big and strategic projects
    • Analyses results and trends to develop strategies that will improve importance
    • Prepares business cases and competition comparisons
    • Getting things done
    • Implement the strategy of the Technical Services Manager
    • Communicates with all related departments to ensure achievement of company goals
    • Achieve the specifications targets set by the Technical Service Manager
    • Working with others
    • Be involved in the integration of new field engineer’s
    • Participate in all team activities
    • Support and train Hilti Team Members on engineering products
    • Developing yourself and others
    • Actively take responsibility for their life-long self-development
    • Share knowledge with all engineers
    • Actively seek feedback from all engineers
    • Coaching of other team members, where applicable

    Main responsibilities:

    • Build-up of Multi Level network within dedicated E&D firms
    • Develop strong relationships with the technical decision makers of customers to ensure a high degree of success in achieving favourable Hilti product specifications
    • Prepares technical submittals, specification write-ups for engineering products and follow up with specifiers and influencers to get it included in specification documents
    • Provide technical support for Hilti customers through training and seminars to consultants, contractors and influencers
    • Provide technical support through product demonstrations, design solutions, bill of materials, estimations and submittals for all Hilti engineering and associated products
    • Support Account Managers with technical knowledge, by visiting customers with them to solve contractors issues, closing sales opportunities through coaching on engineering products and pro-actively generating new business
    • Establish a call plan schedule for all assigned projects based on a frequency decided on with the Technical Service Manager
    • Develops and maintains appropriate projects/accounts tracking systems, including activity and progress reporting and action plans, based on a frequency decided on with the Technical Service Manager
    • Regularly updates on the CRM system by creating new contacts with their details, registering all daily activities and opportunities, and by communicating specifications particulars to other relevant Hilti team members
